Cool Could Pirate Lair be a smaller change then originally thought?

We have all heard about Pirates Island @ Tom Sawer Island. But is it just possible that this "huge" project might just become an area within the island? The whole Island might not all undergo a transformation, just be an area within the island. There will probably be stuff like the cave's, treehouse, and bridges still left out and a few new Pirate Excursions. What do you think?

Al Lutz gave a pretty clear run down on what would be included in the project in his second update on the topic. Out of the stuff Mr. Lutz detailed, what do you think won't be included Walt Jr.?

I wasn't saying the stuff Al described wasn't going to happen. But what I am saying it that the island might not have to be completely pirate. Sure, they will have all that new fun stuff. But they might also have stuff that pertains to the original Island and not be focused on Pirates. I am asking that what if all the stuff Al stated could be put in one certain area to be labled as Pirate's Lair or whatever they are going to call it, and have some non-pirate stuff in other areas of the island.

I still think it should be turned into Neverland - then you can have caves, pirates, indian villages - all of it!

Will trade husband for Disneyland and DCA Pins!

It would have been a wonderful Idea, but what does it go with Frontierland? It would have to be a new land!

The point of it is that Pirate's do not have to infest the whole island. It could just be a part, or section of the entire Island!

^ True. But I thought thats how its going to be in the first place? They have to leave some original things to the Island. Isn't it going to be like "come see the new pirates lair at TSI???"

I think that the original plan was to pirate infest the whole island!

Great idea!! Theme it after a timeless "Disney Classic" instead of a fad that will fade in a few years (or next time Johnny Depp pi$$es off Americans again hahaha). Ugh, so sick of the pirates crap everywhere you go.... *rolls eyes*

I think the fad concept is my biggest objection- Johnny is big for now, but how long will that really last? And how long are we going to be stuck with it when it is outdated?

The current pirates invasion is a short-term thing. Ok, it's fun for now, but it's not something that will last.

I do like the Neverland idea. That sounds like it could be fun, and inspire the imagination.
