I agree. Something extra could be done inside those seagreen tunnels - maybe with holograms or lasers. Wouldn't it be nice if the mouse ears lit up in a ring of fire every time a train passed The helix at the very end (that empty patch of sand and a few palm trees in the middle) would benefit with some fog and heavy-duty lasers or colored spotlights. That would make for a better finale.

I feel the same way exactly (great edit though, 2DieFR). On Rock'nRollercoaster over at MGM, I felt that the Aerosmith songs gave you a better sense of speed. The beat of that Red Hot Chili Pepper song is just... I thought I was going in slow motion or something.

...that and I really don't care for their songs anyway. They all sound the same.

I'm actually pretty fond of the how the opening and the guitar sections of music work with the launch and big drop & loop sections of my vid. However, the single guitar line during the rap-style verse is too soft and the chorus parts are too slow and mellow. But who knows - maybe the emphasis will be on the "big" parts, and furthermore, perhaps a new rendition.

2DieFr: Great work. Is that where the regular edit of the song stops? Because that song (in your video) has a 'hard exit' cut-off right at the last E-stop brake block, right before the Screamin' Cam cameras and the first set of station brakes.

The interesting part is to see what they do with it on Screamin', and whether they add a starting vamp as you approach the launch and a fade-out track to the end that takes you back into the station, like they have now with the existing Screamin' track.

At Space Mountain they structured the entire soundtrack in a computerized player on the train as several individual sections that are cued with track sensors, and they can cut a bar or two early if they get to the next section too quickly (heavy train + warm grease in the bearings) or have a few bars of the song vamp (or loop) if theyrrrrre runnnnnning reeeeal slowwwww....

I know they have to do it at least a bit at Screamin', but I've never noticed them doing any complex vamping or early cuts. I usually pick up on that stuff.

Yes, the end of the song on my vid is the actual end to the song.

It's certainly one thing to just add a few bars or cut in early with the instrumental songs currently in place, but quite another when you have four-bar phrases with lyrics in these rock songs. You can't just cut out the end of the phrase! One place I always notice where the music gets cut, on the regular Screamin', is the brake run just before the camel humps. The previous musical phrase is almost always cut short to start the next part, so that the music syncs up with the humps. Notice, in my vid, that in order to complete the last phrase of the chorus I had to go over the first hump. You just don't have that kind of liberty when you gotta get that last line out!

We'll see how this is handled soon enough!
