I was commenting in another thread, and it got me to thinking...
Have you noticed any traditions being developed by younger park guests that may be different from your own traditions? Or do you see some traditions developing in younger park guests that may not be a big deal to you, but may be special to them?
I ask this because I was born in 1968 and my son was born in 1998. When we go to Disneyland I think its great when we are able to park in the Timon lot because it is a lot closer, and it is a remnant of the old Disneyland parking lot and it is just nostalgic to me for that reason.
He recently told me, "Dad I want you to park in the parking structure from now on. When mommy takes me we always park there." I tried to tell him that the Timon lot is special because it was the old Disneyland parking lot, but he really didn't care and insisted that we park at Mickey and Friends.
So, it seems to me that my son is beginning to develop some special memories of his own. Maybe some day if they drastically change the M&F lot it will bother him as much as us current MC'ers with something else.
Any thoughts or personal observations on this kind of thing?
