It would be more relaxing that way. For me crowds do not equal fun and I would just be very irrated all night long. The pictures of huge spaces be taken by blankets with one person on them irrated me and I'm not even there...

I am with you on that one. When the park is crowded on a regular day I usually stay out of the way of the crowds. I am not a big parade person, so we usually do our best to avoid the parade and the in front of the castle firework crowds during the summer. Plus, I think you can see the fireworks just as well sitting out front of thundermoutain while the kids take advantage of the short lines....

It is cool to be following this from afar. I'm having a very homey new years eve. I had a terrific dinner at my parent's neighbor's house and I am now home.

Been sitting here monitoring the tube. Disney must have egg on its face. Fox News had a reporter and cameras at Walt Disney World. I am not sure about this year but I don't ever remember ABC having a reporter from WDW, just a video feed.

I am not watching ABC for awhile on NYE. I watched to see Dick Clark and I cried hearing him stumble through the countdown. I know he can't help it and that's what makes me sad. But it wouldn't be the same I guess.

Brian, once again it was great to hear from you tonight. I haven't seen Clark yet, of course...I'm planning on Tivo'ing part of the show as I figure to be fast asleep at Midnight Pacific...Party animal, huh...

The Park is utter madness!

Search lights can be seen swirling overhead the entire Resort, multi-colored concert lighting is flashing and swirling over the crowd in the hub, beach balls are being tossed around in the crowd immediately in front of the Castle, and the parade lights are flashing a variety of colors over the crowd down Main Street.

Crowds seem the be thinning a tiny bit as "Believe.. In Holiday Magic" has let out, but crowds are still madness. Crowd control is in a state of mostly-controlled chaos.

Festive, upbeat renditions of classic Disney songs are playing over the sound system throughout the hub and Main Street.

A pair of hosts just took the stage in front of the Castle and are pumping up the crowds. I suspect a DJ will now take the stage after and start pumping dance music.

The hosts are now getting the crowd singing along to a rousing rendition of "Yo Ho, A Pirate's Life for Me!"

seems appropriate as in 2007 pirates will take over even more of the park...

Anyway great report MasterGracey! If it wasn't for the crowds, I'd wish I was there too.
