I figured you were with MasterGracey. Was that your Monopoly game? I've been watching Metalpocaylpse on Cartoon Network. Have a great New year everyone.

The fireworks are still going off here too.

    Happy New Year from Disneyland!

Everybody is exiting the parks. Backstage overflow gates have been opened, allowing people to exit from Tomorrowland and Main Street, dumping them out at the end of Main Street.

Fireworks were amazing, and suprisingly superior to the "Believe... In Holiday Magic" show. I got video of the fireworks and will post it later on.

Here are some poor shots of the fireworks from my cellphone:

    Happy New Year, MiceChatters!

We wish we could be with the Disneyland gang, but we have a tradition of staying home with our puppy kids. One of them is beside herself from fireworks, from the first one she hears until hours after the last one goes off, so we just feel better being with her on New Year's Eve and the 4th of July.

MG, thanks for a fun thread. We really enjoyed checking in throughout the night to get updates. Glad everyone seemed to have a good time. Spoke with the DCA Mice Chat contingent briefly earlier tonight and I think it is safe to say, they were having an exceptionally good time (if you know what I mean.)

All the best, to all of you in 2007!

Well they both serve their purpose. Not much you can do with Silent Night!

I saw the fireworks from Ball Rd. at the Sheraton. There were about 30 people there. Those with trucks just jumped the curb to get on the dirt we were standing on.

I might have permanent ear damage but I don't care, it was insane. The shells were literally exploding above us.

    umm SpokerJones......

I used to be a Cast Member at DL the shifts for NYE normally end at 3:45am or later this is normally DL's busiest day and I can guarantee that alot of CM's have worked well over a 40 hour workweek and it hurts to get extended 6 days a week, cut the CM's some slack without them there would be NO Disneyland!
Part of working at Disneyland means that we'll probably work on holidays. We are made aware of this from day one. We all made the same commitment, it's a shame some lack the integrity to hold their end of the bargain.

Without the guests and Disneyland, there would be no need for CMs.

Don't you remember the triangle on the first day of orientation? Guests, cast members, and the park is equally important in running the show! Without one the others would not be able to exist!

Until they invent robot cast members.

...While I was talking to the CM in the watch shop, she was notified by a fellow cast member that her shift had been given a MANDATORY EXTENTION. Instead of going home at 7:30 after her 8 hour shift, she was going to have to stay for a 12-hour shift, getting her out of the Park at 11:30pm....
Busch Gardens Tampa had most of their team members working from a period of time to 2:30p.m. of course then they rigged up the ones who didnt have to stay or come in to work tomorrow... and tuesday... lol
