Carnation Cafe is GREAT for breakfast and if you get Troy as a server you get wonderful service.

Seriously, the food isn't that great in the park anyhows--so go ahead and eat beforehand.

I have to second (maybe third at this point) this point. Yes, I am one of those who would like to be at Disneyland from opening to closing. I also have to say that breakfast at River Belle Terrace is great; I have eaten there in the past and it was good. Also quick service would be Blue Ribbon, however, every time I have been in there the line is about 20 minutes so maybe not so quick. I think the place in Tommorrowland behind the Jedi Training Academy stage does breakfast as well - please correct me if I am wrong.

In addition tp any of the restaurants inside the park, you could get breakfast at any of the hotels. I know the Disneyland Hotel has a cafe where you can buy breakfast (muffins, bagels, coffee, etc) for a close to reasonable price. Downtown also has LaBrea Bakery and other restaurants. Have fun!

Yep, I concur with the great suggestions so far (eating inside the Park). We've been there, and done that!

It's a nice start to a wonderful day at the Happiest Place on Earth!

    Bon Appetite!

We grabbed breakfast at Tomorrowland Terrace during early entry last January. Not the best breakfast but we were trying to hang near SM since it went 101 right at early entry.

    Re: Breakfast INSIDE Disneyland?

    About Plaza Inn character breakfast:

    $23.69 for adults
    $12.92 for kids (I think it's ages 3-9)

    You'll find:
    Mickey shaped waffles
    French toast
    Bagels
    Fruit
    Pastries
    Made-to-order omelets
    Scrambled eggs
    Hash browns
    Sausages
    Bacon
    Ham
    Biscuits
    Dry breakfast cereal
    And as of recently, oatmeal

No, PI does not have pancakes.

It is an all you can eat buffet.

Characters I've seen include (but are not limited to, as my memory is sort of fuzzy on this subject):
    Minnie
    Chip
    Dale
    Pooh
    Eeyore
    Tigger
    Daisy
    Captain hook
    Queen of hearts
    Fairy godmother
    Max
One of those wolf or cat villains from Pinocchio (sorry...)

Characters go around the whole restaurant inside and outside, so you don't have to get up and go to them. You will not see all the characters on any given day.

You also get free balloons and buttons, and one kid is selected at one point to pass out balloons to everyone else as a Magical Moment.

Plaza Inn is open for breakfast from early entry opening till 11:00. Breakfast is still served and characters still wander around till 11:30. PI then opens for lunch at 12:00.

It's best to call ahead and make reservations, particularly if the park is busy the day you go. This does not guarantee you a table inside, however, only that you will be seated at all.

Not that I'm suggesting you come to Plaza Inn.

He's still at the Cafe. We just said hi to him last month.

I love the Carnation Cafe. The Cinnamon Roll French Toast is the greatest thing ever! (And for dinner Carnation Cafe has the Meatloaf Stack. Heaven on Earth!)

The River Belle is the other place we go and we love it there too.

I haven't had the chance to try Cafe Orleans for breakfast yet. But I want to try those Monte Cristo French Toast. I like the regular Monte Cristo so I'll have to give this a shot.

    Re: Breakfast INSIDE Disneyland?

I usually eat at the River Belle Terrace because.
    1. Real Plates
    2. Real Utensils (usually)
    3. Maple syrup on the table
    4. The Mark Twain sailing by tooting its horn.
    5. A view of all the happy people starting their day.
    6. Decently priced pancakes with eggs.
    7. Cinnamon Roll that is typically good and nicely priced.

Plus the area is open enough there is not very noisy so you can just enjoy the food and view in peace.
