Question on Star Tours/Height Limits

Quick question.... My son is just an inch too short for the Star Tours height limit, but has been totally getting into Star Wars...
Is it possible for him just to go through the queue of Star Tours without getting on the ride?

If there's no CM out front measuring, and sometimes there's not, then he could potentially walk throught the queue right up to the doors where there's another height-measuring thingy (?).
Did that make sense?

Just tell they he wants to see the queue ... there really isn't anything special outside of the front room.

He can see almost all of the queue from the front entrance anyway. You can stand in the entrance area and listen to c3po and r2d2 do their thing. That's what I did with my son when he was 39 inches.

Unfortunately you can thank stupid guests who have cheated the system of last moment child switches where the entire family goes through the queue together then do the trade off near the ride as the answer is no for the most part. However star tours cms will allow you to go take a peek inside the maintanance bay section of the queue if they can keep track of you and make sure you dont sneak onto the ride (In other words when its not busy). Other than that NO small children in the building it creates WAYYY too much drama on the concourse when a little kid goes up there.

that's pretty cool that Star Tours at DLR got a Heigh Requirement because here at Disneyland Paris the rule is little bit different it's only from 3 Years old .

but a lot of parents lies about their kids .
