Sad When is the best time to leave and go home for you?

When it's morning so you can leave right away and not have to suffer getting out of the park before closing.

When it's night so you can leave feeling there's nothing you missed that day.

Midday? What do you like when you have to go home?

I love getting in a longish line right before midnight so I can be in the park clear until 12:30-12:45am.

It depends on if I'm staying in a motel down there or if I have the 2.5 or so hour drive home.

I usually leave right before fireworks or Fantasmic. If I'm too late, I usually wait until an hour or so after. Just enough time to miss the crowds at the tram.

Re: When is the best time to leave for you?

If I get to the park in the morning, say on a Sunday, then I try not to over do because I go to work on Monday. But sometimes my self control is not all there Ideally, I'd leave around 4 or 5.

At night, like on Fridays, I wring every last minute out of my trip -- I'll ride until I can't ride anymore and then celebrate with cookies on Main Street until just before the last tram out of town.

And oy do I feel it ... got home last night (this morning) at 2:30 am and my eyes are still crossed!

Re: When is the best time to leave for you?

Since I only get to go every 2 or 3 months, I always get there right at opening and leave at closing. I need to make sure I get my fill (or as much as possible) to hold me over until my next trip! Love having my Premium AP though, since I know that if I ever get those extreme urges (which if I had it my way, I would satisfy every week, lol) I can take a weekend trip whenever I want with no worries!

Same here.....those crowds at the tram can be horrible. If I do happen to hit them, I just walk to the Structure.

Re: When is the best time to leave for you?

I never want to leave, and I usually say I'm not staying late but then I stay late. Usually before fireworks, due to the drive. I usually don't get there too early - I enjoy sleeping in too much!
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

Re: When is the best time to leave for you?

Even though our last day just feels kind of sad, I would stay past closing but my husband usually makes us leave earlier. If there are fireworks that night, though, he knows he can't tear me away until after them. He made us leave before closing again last trip but he really has no excuse. He used to say it was because he had to drive the 6 hr. drive home (he never lets me drive). Now our two oldest kids have drivers licenses, so we could get home with each of the drivers driving only 1-1/2 hours. But he insists on doing all the driving.

Re: When is the best time to leave for you?

I always stay in walking distance, so I like to be there as long as I possibly can !!

I wish Disney offered an "after hours" tour where you get to dive with the scuba divers to retrieve stuff from Nemos subs, and walk the Matterhorn track, and all that after-hours stuff. Hell, I'd even love to steam-clean main street !

Since I only go once a year, I like to leave at the end of the day so I have done as much as possible.
