    Re: Grand Californian Entrance...

I use it all the time. I think the first entry of the day has to be through one of the main gates, but after that it can be used...I could be wrong though...,,,I have only used it after noon...so maybe thats it...

I've used it before noon, as a non-guest of the hotel, and they didn't question us at all. Maybe they didn't want to turn us away and make us walk all the way around because of the little one....

Strollers DO have some advatages at DL/DCA!!

I have never been stopped or asked for any kind of ID at the Grand Cal. Either going into the hotel and/or going into the DCA from the hotel.

I have never been stopped either...they did ask my then 13 year old daughter if she had alcohol in her cup. That made me laugh...yeah, I give it to my 13 year old , but I'm not drinking...

That's been our experience too. It's hit or miss after noon. Sometimes they've checked and sometimes not.

We've been asked upon entry to the park just about every time any time of day except maybe once, but of course we must look like some undesirable riff raff. I've never tried to cheat when we're not staying at Disney, as undesirable as I may be. Leaving the park is another story. I have NEVER been asked. Do they even care how you leave?

I think it's just up to whomever is manning that turnstile. We made first entry through that gate at 10:30 yesterday morning, so who knows?

Here is a different question, what happened to that other DCA entrance, by the Paradise Peer Hotel? I found out last year at Thanksgiving that they had discontinued using it. But was not sure when that happened, why it happened, or if there were any plans to reopen it (if it is not already open). Just wondering.

Never had any trouble using GCH entrance until Christmas week when they had extra CMs checking for hotel credentials. I don't remember the time of day, but I did get turned away twice.

    Re: Grand Californian Entrance...

I've never been stopped morning or afternoon, either way. I think in the beginning, they were strict about it. I remember hearing that people would get stopped.

We often eat inside GCH and go in and out of the park/hotel entrance. We'll leave Disneyland, go in DCA and walk through the park to eat at Whitewater Snacks. We've eaten breakfast at WWS and gone to DCA afterward.

I've never seen anyone stopped either.
