[Abominable Snowman]

Part 1

Well it had been two weeks since my last meet which seemed like an eternity


I could hardly wait to see everybody again


I left my house at about 10:15 and got a pic on the way up
(Almost crashed trying to get this pic. The things I do for you guys)



The billboard shows nothing of the promotion which can be confusing to the non-Disney fanatic who doesn't know what it is all about


I arrived at the park at about 11 and was shocked to see the amount of cars lined up to get into the Timon lot



It was really dumb because only 2 or 3 booths were open which caused a major back-up



She’ll be comin round the mountain when she comes…



The 2nd CM at the back at the tram was an old man that sounded like he wanted to kill himself and made sure that everybody knew that children were not allowed to ride in strollers while on the tram


I was waiting for the bright orange Cal Trans sign to say "DISNEY IS FULL. DCA AVAILABLE" but it simply said "Welcome to the Disneyland Resort"



The turnstiles closer to DTD had longer lines so we were fortunate enough to get off where they were short!



I am surprised the map artwork hasn't changed yet



I thought it was so funny that they had a wait time for the Annual Pass Center



My cousin and I moseyed down Main Street and got a couple last pics while the Christmas decor was still up





We went over to Space to see if we were going to be able to go on before the meet (it was 11:30)


We figured we shouldn't



On the way over, we saw Buzz's new home since he got the boot from the Terrace



I tried to show my cousin as much of the Sub Lagoon as I could so she could see the vibrant colors of the reef


On my way over, I noticed that they had taken the cover off of the Nemo sign



A new sign below it stated that it would be resurfacing in Summer 2007


We got to the smoking section next to Matterhorn where we could barely see through a crack but it got the point across


I told my cousin we should get over to the hub so we could at least try to get the bench in the shade (We weren't early enough)


I could tell that it was that time of the month for the Queen of Hearts



I guess this girl dropped a piece of trash and the Queen wouldn’t let her leave unless she threw it away (Should I send this pic to the family and tell them to sue Disney for hitting their child?)

Part 2

We arrived at the hub at 11:45 and said "Hi" to everybody I knew (It didn't take long)


Villans Fan and I were talking about how awkward it was to be hot, listening to Christmas music in January


A few familiar faces started POURING in and it was exciting to see everyone again


Took a couple pics



















My cousin was too shy to meet everybody in the beginning so I stayed with her at the outskirts of the hub (I was also "terrified" at my first meet so I didn't give her too hard of a time)


Dusty brings out the Pocky early. He walked by before I could get a good pic (Todays flavor was Man's Pocky!)



It was time for the group photo and boy was it a BIG one!!! I think about 50 or more were counted (not all wanted to be in the pic)



The group split into a couple groups, ours (Dusty) chose Rancho del Zocalo (I had never been before because I heard it used to be terrible)


Off we go




On our way over, Fishy and I found a perfect “The End” but we couldn’t pull out our cameras fast enough


At least everything sounded good!



Fishy told me the Burrito Sanora with chicken was the best (And boy was it!)


Words could not describe how full I was. It was SOOOO good

We figured a slow and gentle ride would be good… Lets go!



We chose the House that was Haunted for the Holidays since it was the last day for the layover


The last day these obstructions would be used



The sign said 20 but we were inside in less that 10









Was this garland always there?



The ride had stopped right before exiting but only for a moment


Once outside, I noticed the sign displaying the wait times was back on Splash

Oh you got to mosey! I have always wanted to mosey but just could never get it right. I can sashay but that is a bit easier than mosey-ing...

Part 3

We headed over to Space where everyone was ready to use their Fastpass' (We didn't have any)


Fishy had just got off the phone with Sir Clinksalot who said the ride went 101 but they were cycling the ride (which meant they were almost ready to let people in)


We arrived at Space only to see that it was still closed



The CM was telling everyone that it wouldn't open til later in the day (She was full of crap and we knew it... So we waited!)



Sure enough it opened within 5 or 10 minutes so the whole group of 19 went into Stand By instead of using Fastpass' (Yay!)

The line went fast


Just as we were about to enter the indoor queue, the ride went 101 (OMG THAT WAS HILARIOUS! YOU HAD TO BE THERE)





The child that had too much Cocoa Puffs for breakfast



There was no difference in the queue except for a astronaut flying across outer space with a guitar

In the beginning, somebody yelled out "Oh my God it's 1975!" (haha)


If you listen, you can hear the reaction of some after the second lift hill


Let me tell you something, I dont know what everyone was pissin and moanin about, I thought it was awesome! But then again, any good song played extraordinarily loud is great in my book. Disney did exactly what they said they would do... new lighting effects and soundtrack. Sure it could be better but it was still great. Online videos dont do it justice. Only a quarter of the effects actually get on the video. I recall somebody saying it sucked big fat donkey (you finish the sentence)






My cousin and I thought it was great while everyone else was "so so" on it. The only way you can make an opinion is if you actually go on it, videos simply dont get the point across.


When it was all over, everyone who had Fastpass' would use them then go home


My cousin and I said goodbye and went over to the Matterhorn (None of my pics turned out)

Part 4

We chose to go on Alice because the line was oddly short


Our vomit colored transport awaited us and was ready to take us on our adventure...













Tried to get a pic of the hidden Mickey

After that we went on Mark Twain


Setting up for Fantasmic!





These animals were scared stiff





"Squeel like a pig!"



Pirates was next


Then over to DCA to ride ToT



I cant believe I have never seen this before!





After that, I wanted to see how the new soundtrack was for Screamin (Luckily my cousin hates that ride so I got to use Single Rider)


It was obvious that the guy I sat next to did not want to sit next to ANYBODY


The ride was fun with the new soundtrack, a lot better than the old one (I think they should make it permanent on Screamin)

Part 5

We made our way around the Pier to find a short line (we didn't have to go far)


After taking a pic of the queue, I noticed that one of the CM's had a reflector strip across the back of his shirt and around his sleeves (I have no idea why. He looked ready to do crosswalk duty)



Bright signs



Then we were suddenly stopped mid-line for no reason by a CM who clearly hated her job


It was time for dinner so we chose the Cafe Bakery



It was my first time here as well and boy was I missin out



I usually only got soup from the French Market which usually was served cold in a stale bread bowl. This time it was served HOT HOT HOT in the FRESH FRESH FRESH bread bowl!


That deffinately hit the spot




Will this place ever be used again for anything besides the Food and Wine Festival or whatever it is?




Today was an awesome day and the best meet yet (my third)!








2 new soundtracks, 2 new restaurants, and more new friends than you could shake a stick at!
