Calling all DVC members: at last...DVC in Disneyland!!!

This doesn't seem to be a very heavy topic in the thread directly relating to Al's article. But, DVC IS FINALLY COMING TO DISNEYLAND. (I know there are a few DVC MCers out there...) I think it's great that DLR is finally taking advantage of the gorgeous GCH (instead of claiming that it has three world class hotels at the DLR.) What worries me is...only 50 units?! It's going to be impossible to get a room there. I wonder when sales will start. Any thoughts.....?

They tried selling a membership to us last October. They told us then that the package included DL.

You can already use your DVC points for any of the 3 DLR hotels. I haven't read Al's report yet, but I'm guessing they're adding 50 DVC condo units. I'll have to check it out!

I am a DVC member and much prefer the charm and size of DL over WDW most of the time (I still need a WDW fix from time to time).

Regardless I am SO happy to hear this news. I hope these first 50 are a hit and we get more DVC condos.

I'm really excited about this. DH and I considered DVC at WDW years ago and decided against it because it was such a bad deal to use points at DL. I can't wait for more information on this.
