We needed a day trip, so we took one. With the crowds low and the weather perfect, Monday was a good day at Disneyland.
Our first stop was Rockin' Space Mountain, and rock I did. One could say I was a "Rockin' Rocker"
Overall I thought it was fun. The music was alright, but the lights needed work. As a person who runs lights for a living, I was really disappointed with what they did with them. Even our ghetto old moving lights at work could have put on a better show. Ideally the stars should had been a different color, that would had kept the ride dark, I also would have put in more strobe arches.
At the end of the ride was a CM w/ a survey about our experience. We called it as we saw it.
Then Sey (aka MC's SequinePoppet) went to her favorite large marble ball that moves with the power of water in the world. Took a chance to show off her first pair of ears!
Putted around a while, did small world Holiday, Toon Town, ended up takin' a trip on the DLRR. I was playing w/ my new camera, thought this pic came out nice enough to share.
We went to go check out the Billies. It was Monday so we were treated to Elvis Billy. He is the best.
OH! for all those wondering if you could sit in the upstair boxes... well you would literally be sitting in box seats... and spools.
The weather was fairly warm in the AM, until we hit Splash, after that it became perfect (though too windy to operate the Golden Zephyr). Anywho, the large projected ride pic previews make it really easy to make your own copy
Had lunch @ the BB. It was perfect! Putted around DL a little bit then headed over to DCA. I LOVED Rockin' CA Screamin. Mainly I think because they didn't take anything away from the original production, just enhanced it. I was very pleased. I was also surpised by Playhouse Disney Live. We just happened to walk by as they were letting people it, we thought "why not." It was a really cute kids show. All the kids LOVED it... especially my gf... no 21 year old woman w/out kids should know these shows so well. Weird. We went to the animation building, took a cool pic in Ursula's Grotto:
Thought it looked trippy.
We learned to draw Donald Duck, mine looked like Donald after retirement and packed on a few pounds. Her's came out perfect. grrr.
Headed back to DL where we had to ride her favorite ride in the world. She ran into old friends:
Alright, finish up with the last cool pic of the trip:
