Little TR and my opinion on Rockin' Space

So I thought I had some big day worth of busy errands to do. Turns out, I didn't have any, so my brother suggested that we go to DL (Sorry Frecky). No crowds at all today, I guess because of the threat of rain.



Also at the parking gate they gave us this. So, now I know what Million of Dreams is! /sarcasm







We decided to take the train around to Space Mountain as I wanted to ride it first so I can finally have an opinion of it.



No more tree!


I've been in the Main Street Station a lot but never took pics of the detail in there. There are tons of it.









This map is cool, it has lights that shows where the trains are. I never knew this existed.




More details, went a lil overboard with it, oh well.

NOS/Frontierland Station


We finally made it to Space.






Ok here is my opinion, the song itself, I liked for the ride. It made sense and I liked it. The lighting, horrible. It made the ride slower as you can see where you are going. I hate how you can see the whole track. If, maybe they had flashing lights or even actual concert lights it would be better. I think though, they should get rid of the lights and play the song in the dark. It would make the ride better, just my 2 cents.

The infamous drain..


At least one of these guys is an Imagineer (according to his hard hat) and they were standing right over the drain that drained all that water.


I rode Space 3 times to I could get my actual opinion on it. I'm still in between. Sam was at the park so I met up with him and we rode Alice in Wonderland. Loved the updates on this ride.


Then we hit Mr. Toad's, the best dark ride at the park, again just my opinion.




Went on PotC afterwards.

After I found this nice statue.


Found Mr. Goff's tribute. A guest thought I was taking a picture of someone. I had to inform her on who he is.


After that we rode Indy then made our way (eventually) to the Matterhorn to ride Tomorrowland side.



This is where I got a little disgusted. A mom was forcing her 5 year old (guessing on the age) on the ride. His seatbelt was on and he was literally trying to get out of the sled. The very nice CM's stopped the ride and made them get out because the kid really wanted to get off the ride. But the mom wouldn't do anything, she kept trying to force him to stay put. The mom, apparently furious, literally threw her son out of the sled. The CM at load had to catch him from falling. I was so angry at this mom but I kept my mouth shut. I did, however, thank the CM for being so calm in that situation because I would have lost it. If your kids are really that terrified do you let them ride?

And it was home for me. Interesting day, but very cold.

Nice pics Jack - I love all the shots of the train station stuff. And, I only forced my son to ride one ride - Buzz Lightyear, because I knew once he rode it he'd love it. And, of course, he did.

no no no I saw this happen this was way past upset he was screaming bloody murder hanging over the side grabbing for something to pull him out!
