    Brand New Disneyland Trading Cards

Upper Deck has just released a set of Trading Cards on Disneyland's 50th celebration. There are chase cards and other goodies as well as the regular trading type cards that Upper Deck is so famous for.

www.UpperDeckStore.com When you get to this page, just scroll down a little and you will see the big ad for the cards.

The box of cards (which is not all that expensive in the long run) is the easiest way to get a complete set and some of the chase cards. Then you can either give the rest to kids or other Disneyland fans, or keep them. My set is on the way and is scheduled to arrive tomorrow. The site has pictures of the box and a complete description of the cards and goodie cards.

Do you get at least one complete set per box?

Upper Deck is Notorious for shorting you 10-20 cards to try and get you to buy 2 boxes.

I will let you all know how it turns out. It used to be that you could get at least one complete set per box. I know that some years ago I bought a box of Star Wars Cinemascopt cards for Episode IV and couldn't get even one set out of it, and that box was a lot more than this one. I hope I can get at least one set. If it comes tomorrow, I will be working on making a set tomorrow night and as soon as I find out, I will post.

Whoooaaaaaaa. Now these are some seriously overdue trading cards! They should do these all the time! It could be like pin trading!
My fondest memory of Walt Disney was the day Disneyland opened....I was standing next to him - I was 12 years old - he was looking at the gate where people were coming through, he had his hands behind his back, he had a grin from ear to ear, but you could see the lump in his throat and the tear coming down his cheek because his dream had been realized. -- Mouseketeer Sharon Baird, "Mouseke-Memories", Walt Disney Treasures: The Mickey Mouse Club

if it is a complete set I would buy it... I would actually buy little frames and hang them up in my room... then whenever I have kids they could go into there room

In the picture, the Castle card and the Space Mountain card have 1952 on them. 1952???

And I've found that it's actually a lot cheaper to buy card sets like these through eBay. Card dealers buy cases of them, sort them into sets, and sell the complete set at a fraction of what one box sells for.

Please explain to me what a "chase card" is. I am going to buy a box of these cards, before I leave for my trip in July. I am traveling with 4 kids ages 6 to 14. I think they will enjoy opening and trading the cards among themselves. It will be a nice souvenir for our trip out to Disneyland for the anniversary, and to split between 4, that's not too bad a cost.

    Universal Cards Price is $36

I did a search on the internet for Disneyland 50th Anniversary Trading Cards. A company called Universal Cards was the first shown. The cost of the box of cards is only $36 compared to the higher cost - upper 40' - at Upper Deck.

They will not be in stock until end of May. I think that I will wait and check back with them then. Sounds like a good price to me.

Don't know how to do a link. Sorry about that.
