The cold keeps the crowds away

Man was it cold in the park last night! In the mid 30s from what I heard. No fireworks.

Sad to say - I again saw some uninformed tourists with summer clothes on who bought rain ponchos in an attempt to keep warm. I guess they thought they would work up a sweat wrapped in plastic - and/or were too dollar conscious to pay $50 or more for a warm jacket.

On the positive note - the crowds were very light for a Saturday night on a holiday weekend.

We had Fantasmic tickets (or we wouldn't have braved the bitter cold). Wow - well worth the money for sure! We got front row (booked a week ago) - I think we got seated first because the CM that booked us knew it was our anniversary. The view of the show was perfect - and you see more detail than when on the ground and behind a crowd of tall people. The wait staff was very attentive and the desserts were very good. I did enjoy it - despite the cold weather.

I love the cold, the parks are emptier than usual as only the daring brave the cold.

Stalking is when two people go for a long romantic walk together but only one of them knows about it.

We travel from Oregon, most of the time the temperature is quite a bit warmer in Anaheim. Your uninformed tourists could have been caught off-guard, as temperatures in the 30's are rare for Anaheim. I know I always look on various weather websites to guage the temperature at DL, but if somebody went by temperature averages, they would have been taken by surprise...

I've only experienced Disneyland in the 40's (wet or dry) and it was soooo cold because you spend most of your time outside. I am impressed by those of you braving this weather. But Disneyland is probably the only place I could be that cold and still be happy.

I think the cold is keeping EVERYONE inside. I worked at the farmer's market yesterday and it was much, much slower than a usual Saturday in January.
So many mouse ears, so little time...

This sounds like great Melonballer in DL weather. I have no problems with the cold.

Off topic- where is the special seating and desserts for Fantasmic held?
If we chase the stars to lose our shadow, Peter Pan and Wendy turned out fine.

Too bad I only have a SoCal AP. I would love to go today and ride Splash Mountain 20 times when no one else is riding it :-)

Of course, the fact that it is a blacked out weekend probably is helping keep the crowds light.
