What disneyland rumors have you heard? I just thought we could talk about some of the rumors about disneyland or Walt that we have heard. Doesn't matter if they are extremely far fetched or not, just keep it interesting

The #1 most common rumor I've heard is that Walt is frozen and he will be unfrozen someday. Of course this is completely false, but what are you're thoughts about it? Do you think it could be a possibility?

I don't think Walt is frozen, and even if he was, could you unfreeze him after he already died? I don't know.

Actually this is 100% true...rumor is, his head will be auctioned off on Disneyshopping.com. Not really a rumor..just something interesting for POTC fans: "Laffitte's Landing" is either accidentally or purposefully misspelled--the Historical Pirates it is named for is Lafitte (Jean and his brother), with one "f".

I Heard a Rumor (From A CM nor Less) that the Rocket Rods were closed due to the fact that the ride was very high maintenance and that the track would be used for a new attraction.

it was leaving black residue everywhere so yep it was closed due to that.. not sure what other attraction though.. heard rumors when i worked at dca

For years, a friend insisted that Haunted Mansion was supposed to open much earlier (the building was there for a long time before opening) but that someone had a heart attack during ride previews because it was so scary. He said they had to re-do the attraction to make it more family-friendly. Bogus.

My dad used to tell me a story about a coaster ride, Rock Candy Mountain, coming to Fantasyland. I never believed that one either, until I read about it in "Disneyland: Then, Now and Forever."

Before the castle was made into an attraction, the tree house on TSI was the highest guest accesible point in the whole park.

The ghost of the castmember that died at America Sings still haunts the tunnels underneath Inoventions (usually seen in her America Sings costume)

You can see ghosts of America Sings anytime you want--ride Splash Mountain (or Star Tours for that matter)!!

At one point (obviously after it was first built) wasn't the Matterhorn the highest man-made structure in Orange County?

Well you know the matterhorn was sinking, it was supposed to have caved in when they drained the sub pool, but they put big jacks under it
