LDF's 1/17/07 Update: Castle rehab, and DANG it's cold!

I was hoping to get some shots of the rain this afternoon, but by the time I fought traffic over to the DLR, the storm had come and gone. So...I figured I'd just saunter around and grab some shots anyway.

The storm was heading off into the distance as I arrived in downtown Disney...



I don't know if anyone noticed this, but two weeks ago, I was wondering why most of the waterfalls were OFF on the Matterhorn. Today they were going full tilt:





As I passed the Matterhorn, I noticed something peculiar about the castle...



I was just starting to set up my shot when THIS character got in the way:



"OH...am I in the way? How about NOW?"



And here is the castle as of this afternoon....
Will they clear this out in time for Remember Fireworks this weekend?

well, if all they are going to do is cover up the gold paint then it really shouldn't take too long. It's not like it's a Caltrans project that takes years for something that would normally take days.

Sucks if they do fireworks this weekend and the tarps are still up.

They will probably be cancelled though. They aren't even scheduled for Sunday.

Awesome so far.

On Sunday, the matterhorn waterfalls were barely at a trickle. Somebody said that all of the water had gone to the lagoon!
