if you had to choose between dl or dlp, what would you choose? you'd be going alone for a long weekend at the end of aug. or begining of sept.

As much as I loved Disneyland Paris, Disneyland, USA would get my vote.

DLP..c'est superior. Especially when you think about what is next door, Anaheim or Paris..Uh.. paris is a theme park in itself.
the plane flight is the same, can you see everything in 3 to 4 days?

Agree with Cabin, Paris blows Anaheim away and so does the park, original or not.

How could you say DLP is better then Disneyland are you insane? They dont have half the things we do.
At that time of year, it's a toss up. I ADORE DLP. It is the most beautiful park. However, DL is celebrating the 50th and is looking better than I have seen it look in years.
Each location has lots to see beyond the parks, but each resort includes an awful park (although WDSP makes DCA look good).
Have you been to either?
I'd pick Disneyland Anaheim any day. It's the best.
It's pretty sister is a close second.

Yes i am insane, and I just happen to prefer the half DLP has. I'll take their Fantasyland, Main Street, Pirates, Hotel, Castle, Nautilus and Space Mountain any day. I don't miss DL's empty rusting Tomorrowland. I love DL, but am energized by DLP.Originally Posted by Disneyfreak

Here's my two cents:
Since you have not been to either park, I would recommend going to Disneyland in Anaheim. It's the original and is celebrating it's 50 year anniversary right now. Since you have never been to Disneyland, this will be the best time to go in recent history. EVERYTHING will be open, except maybe the Haunted Mansion, depending on how late you decide to go - I believe it closes early or mid-September for the Haunted Mansion Holiday overlay. Not to mention all of the 50th stuff will still be up which will add that much more magic to your first time at the Park.
Personally, if I were in your position, I would undoubtedly go to Disneyland Anaheim instead of Disneyland Paris. If you had visited Disneyland Anaheim before though more than once and had lasting memories already there, I'd say to go Paris and make memories there. But you havent been to either, so I would definately go to the orignal first. The charm, history, atmosphere, and overall "magic" of Disneyland Anaheim cannot be beat.
A side benefit is that, while Disney's California Adventure is not terrific, there is arguably a little bit more to do there than there is at DLP's Walt Disney Studios. We saw pretty much all there was to see at WDS in a few hours, including Lights! Motor! Action! and the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster.Originally Posted by disney24/7

Of course, the French are much more friendly than those shallow southern Californians.![]()
