By reading the title, I really thought someone tagged up Disneyland. Slightly off topic, but when does Million Dreams end?

Graffiti? That's not graffiti - in my mind, graffiti consists of something else entirely.
Even though it's nothing to get too bent out of shape about, it just doesn't seem to fit in with the Main Street theme! This kind of stuff would look way better in NOS where the Mardi Gras theme lends to the color and design ... NOT MAIN STREET! Why didn't they just make the floral in front of the Railroad more colorful or something.
Nor does a quote by Walt Disney, who hadn't yet said what's on the plaque (unless he was amazingly prescient while still in the womb - I wouldn't put it past him).
Or posters announcing a trip through Alice's Wonderland.
Or the lead-free paint that things are coated in.
Or the PA system that announces arrivals.
It's a minor bit of decoration. Nothing more. Furthermore, it's not on the station, it's on the outside-facing entryway.
This brings up something I've never thought of. Does Main Street begin the moment you enter the turnstyles? Or does it begin after you go under the berm?
Wow, they look so temporary, like they were glue gunned on. Me? Im a fan of anything that adds MORE color!!! (say that in a Tim Taylor "More Power" voice) It's pretty. I will have to see for myself![]()
In and of itself, it doesn't look too bad. (I mean, at least they didn't go for some try-hard faux graffiti in a misguided attempt to be "hip"...I still have nightmares of rapping Mickey).
However, I tend to concur with the general consensus that they look slightly out of place on Main Street. MS is certainly my favourite of all the "lands", and that is largely because of the turn-of-the-20th-century thing it has going for it. These would have been more appropriate in Fantasyland or NOS. Yet, as DarkRider wisely points out, it is a fantasy version of yesteryear, and it is one of many aspects that aren't period accurate. If it had been on City Hall or something more prominent on the Main Street itself, that would have made me go "Oh, what up?"
I hate it because it doesn't fit. It just looks to dang colorful in a place where color isn't needed. It just completely out of place, at first I though it was some joke...Looks really horrible IMO.
Don't worry, we'll hide you where there is nobody around for miles, Disney's California Adventure!
