DLR Coaster Marathon - Let's go again, again, again...

I know for a fact that Six Flags Magic Mountain has done roller coaster marathons with its Colossus. What would you think if there was a similar event, an all-day coaster marathon, at one attraction at the Disneyland Resort? Could it be done, perhaps a time like now, during the off season? Would you participate?

And what coaster-type attraction would you most like to do? (Note: It's a Small World is NOT a roller coaster!)

Myself, I'd be up to a Rockin' Space Mountain marathon. But imagine how funny a Gadget's Go-Coaster marathon would be! It would have to close off to normal guests 'cause there's only one train. You could get lots of laps on that thing, but I'd go out of my mind!

    Thoughts?

Space Mountain is a lot of fun, but I'd probably grow a bit tired of it after a while. So, I'd pick Screamin' for the marathon.

In today's Orange County Register, there was an article about a guy named Richard Krieger, 61, who rode the Xcelerator coaster down at Knott's Berry Farm a total 20,000 times! Wow!

^ Yeah, reading that article actually gave me this idea.

I couldn't imagine riding the Xcelerator that many times. It's fun, but not that fun.

    I voted for Space Mountain.

But I wouldn't do it if it were Rockin' Space Mountain.

I chose Space because its the smoothest.

I don't know if I'd even consider a Matterhorn marathon. The soreness and bruises the next day would be terrible.

The bruises aren't that bad and the scenery is breathtaking. I'd trade brises for the Matterhorn anyday.

    For bruises, try a Knott's coaster marathon.....Ouch.......

Yeah, riding the Matterhorn for an extended period of time would really be painful.

Yeah, the three coasters I probably wouldn't survive on for a marathon:
    Matterhorn: Soreness and bruises
Mulholland Madness: Cracked skull from heads colliding(if somebody is seated next to me)
    Small World: Suicide by drowning

I voted for Thunder Mountain. I would ride the train over and over just to see the goat eating the dynamite....

Disneyland Monorail. What is that I hear you say? Why of course it counts, it coasts along fine!

I'd probably enjoy the train even more if only I could turn that spiel off and only stop when the train or I have needs to do so. I'd invite CMs in the tunnel building to come set up a sit-down event somewhere in the dinosaur display to watch that crazy guy go around and around again.

As for which actual high speed ride I'd do over and over, the answer can only be Journey to the Center of the Earth, and it's not here. Too bad, too.

I doubt that Disney would do it, unless they charged a LOT of money for the folks participating.

It would have to be the Matterhorn, Big Thunder or Screamin' (one side open for guests, the other side for the contest), and Disney would only do it on a really SLOW day.

As for Knott's, many of their roller coasters are VERY smooth, such as Xcelerator and Silver Bullet!
