How could Rachel Ray Do The DLR on $40 A Day?

I just finished watching one of my favorite shows involving Rachel Ray of the Food Network, in which she'll have breakfast, lunch and dinner in a given city on a budget of only 40 dollars, usually including tax and tip.

How would you do the DLR (meaning the entire resort including DTD) on 40 dollars a day? Bear in mind she has three meals, in restaurants of one kind or another, and for sake of this discussion let's keep usual "amusement park" fare to a minimum.

    Thoughts?

$40 for one person? That's a lot of money for DLR food.

    I'd have:

Breakfast--ficelli and jam with coffee at LaBrea Bakery, $5-6
Lunch--chicken caesar salad with an iced tea for lunch, $20ish
Dinner--glass of wine and a salad in DCA, $15ish

$40? I think that just may be enough for a couple of churros...

Could you work it out to get three meals including a relatively nice one at Napa Rose or Catal or the like? I just thought this would be a fun thread to follow up on the show theme.

It would mean eating snacks for meals. Because you could easily spend $30-35 on one meal at Napa Rose or BB.

SHE couldn't. She'd be too busy making sammies for everyone and drizzling E-V-O-O all over everything to care about eating

    As for me:

Breakfast - Pastry from the Bakery and water - ~$5
Lunch - Monte Cristo and pomme frites and a Coke from Cafe Orleans - ~$20
Dinner - Beef stew bowl and a soda (I think it comes with a salad too doesnt it?) from french Market (yea I like NOS) - ~$13

I'd have roughly $2 to play with. Even more if I split my lunch with someone.

I don't think she could ... since $40 wouldn't get her into one park ... let alone two!

I think you could definitely do it in under 40 bucks if you know what you are doing!

    That would be easy.

    River Belle Breakfast.

    Bengal BBQ lunch.

    Dole Whip snack.

    Redd Rockets dinner.

Maybe have enough left over for a soda and a churro!

I think someone should try this this coming weekend.

Rachael would HAVE to eat at Napa Rose, or Trattoria. Cause those are just places she would eat at. I bet she'd eat about 5 corn dogs too. Someone should challenge her to do it. I dare you.
