Couldn't wait to go on the Haunted Mansion now that it's open again.
I really wanted to get the special effect that was installed by the imagineers over six months ago - the morphing face in Leota's room. This was REALLY hard to photograph, since the effect is so subtle, and dark, and the room is so dim, but here are a few of my many attempts:
Can you see the screaming face there? It's subtle, but that's why it works so well.
Here's the weathervane from the roof of the attraction:
And, in addition, here are a few other pictures from this morning, and as always, all pictures are taken with NO flash, using natural lighting of the attraction:
Madame Leota (the distortion is because the projection isn't lining up 100% with the face mold):
Of course, there's always MY way:
From the wall of the ballroom scene, here's one of the duelers stepping out from his painting:
And I got a close telephoto zoom of the birthday candles in the ballroom scene (for that trivia question you'll be asked someday):
Constance, the Axe Wielding Attic Bride:
And as I was leaving, someone winked at me and said "Hurry Back...!"
