01/07 - Face Character Auditions/Trip Report !

this is my very first trip report type thread so i'm pretty excited. (: so i went to the face character auditions today and boy were they funn. i arrived there at 7:1am. there was a pretty big line already. i was about the first hundred people. it was so COLD !

so my group got called in around 8:45am. finally ! so a cm walked us through the backstage area, we went pretty far in. i didn' t expect to go in so far. anyways that was exciting, many extra ride parts and stuff. we then had to wait in the room next door to where we started the auditions. about 5 minutes past by, and we were sent in to line up ! it was really awesome, a lot different from what i expected it to be. the casting director was really nice... he would spat out jokes and all the girls would just laugh exceedingly. anyways i expecially liked how they played disney tunes in the background haha. i felt that relaxed thiings a bit. anyways ! so of course, they weren't casting every single character today and only a few. and that was for sure because almost all the people who were called to continue were men ! lol. that being said, i didn't make it ! and the girls who i thought would definately make it, didn't. i was pretty shocked. but apparently they weren't casting "royalty" but maining villians and mary poppins ? [as raiderette4gnr said] but yeah it was still very successful me, being my first time. and i'm pretty sure i'll go to the next ones.

so ! afterwards, me and my boyfriend got breakfast at mcdonalds thennn went to disneyland !

anyone know when the castle will be done ? i really wanna see it.

i went home after the parade. i was freezing and tired. and it took us about 30 min to find my car ! haha i seriously thought it got stolen. but we eventually found it.

anyways thanks everyone for reading this ! i usually take more pictures, but yeah maybe next time lol.

Oh wow, great observation! I seem to be lacking an eye for detail lately, but those thingimabobers are pretty cool! It reminds me of this thing that my mom got in Europe that has cutouts of a scenery that are really detailed.

I never noticed the lamp posts and banners have silhouettes of the characters - I think that's pretty cool.

Sorry you didn't get cast, but you're so cute - there's always next time! I'm glad you had fun though!

haha i thought someone would notice that ! it's because i always seem to forget to use my discount whenver i buy anything ! and i STILL forgot to use it, at the golden horseshoe. dah !

Do face characters ever work part-time as a CM at any of the attractions? I ask this because I saw a CM at Haunted Mansion that looked exactly like Ariel.
