I know Blue Bayou is popular but have you considered trying Storytellers at the Grand Californian ?

Good food, reasonable prices and great atmosphere.

Too much according to recent reports that the food isn't as good as it was prior to the refurb.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...

The food is very good and my hubby and I split the Monte Cristo and our 5 year old ordered the PB and J sandwich. We all ate and had a soda and the entire meal only cost $35. If you get prime rib or something else it would make it more expensive but $35 for a family to eat a sit down meal at Disneyland inside one of the greatest rides in the world is NOT expensive!

    YIKES!

    $35 to share a Monte Cristo and a PB&J???

That is absolutely outrageous! Oh, yeah. I forgot. It is totally ok -- it's inside Disneyland...

As long as they have a steady supply of people who are willing to pay that much to enjoy an hour there, it's not outrageous. For me, $35 for an hour of dining and atmosphere is no big deal. I drop $25 on lunch for two at crappy places like Red Robin all the time. If it's an extra $10 to add a kid and move the party over to the inside of Pirates of the Caribbean, I'm okay with that.

Hey Pan, I would still suggest taking a look at Storytellers, a nice place and not as expensive as BB.

ESPN has AWESOME burgers, but I don't know that Super Bowl Weekend would be best time to try there.

For cheaper eats, Whitewater Snacks is good, but thats burgers/fries place.

Re: How Much does Lunch cost at the Blue Bayou?

Victoria and I joined Circarama and Frogberto and their charming wives for lunch at Blue Bayou today. It is pricey. Entrees are mid-$20s. Our food was quite good.

Frankly, the meal isn't really worth the price, but it's a beautiful, romantic and iconic place to have a special meal. The service was very good. My prime rib was excellent. Vic ordered an appetizer for her entree and we shared. It's a great way to save a couple of bucks and you'll both still get plenty to eat.

If you're looking for value-for-the-money... don't go. If you're looking for a special Disneyland experience, grab that credit card and live a little! (Don't forget the AP discount!)

That there is a steady supply of people who are willing to pay that much is beyond me. At these prices it is not worth it -- I have eaten there a couple of times and unless I win the lottery I won't be eating there again. If I want a Blue Bayou kick I simply hop on POTC. There is no reason to have to sit in the BB for an hour eating a crappy meal and paying such big $$ when you can at least take in the same atmosphere for free by going for a ride on POTC. If I want a good tasting meal, I go somewhere else.

I wish more people felt like this, so I could get a table by the water anytime I wanted it!!

Re: How Much does Lunch cost at the Blue Bayou?

We ate there Saturday and I think it was about $56 for the 2 of us, 2 drinks and a cookie boat. That dessert was worth the price alone!!
I thought the meal was good - I heard that the food had suffered but I don't agree.
Chris' monte cristo ws so hot and gooey and a little bite of deliciousness.
My pork chop was a tad dry but so flavorful and sweet. The potatoes were delicious!
And that cookie boat? WOW. I believe I freakin' moaned when I ate my first bite.
Yeah, you can get better food elsewhere for the same price, but I thought the food was fine.
And the atmosphere can't be beat.
PLUS they gave us each pirate hats to wear (the kids menu)... even even gave me two extra when mine was "stolen."
As a sometimes place, it's great.
I don't think the quality has declined at all.
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...
