![]() | Trip Budgets Just curious on how much some of you out of state Disneyland Fans spend on a after 1 week vacation to DLR (5 Days) and what you do to save money. So here is my list on costs for two people: Airfare for two round trip: $153.73 (US Airways) Hotel Accomendations: $267.95 (Doubletree Hotel, Parking Included) 3-Day Hopper Pass: $230.00 Spending Money & Food: $375.00 Car Rental: $177.56 (Budget Car Rental) DLR Parking: $55.00 Total: 1259.24 Flew stand-by on US airways, car rental has a sams club card discount and a free car upgrade, Hotel was employee discount, and hopper passes were from military discount.

![]() | Re: Trip Budgets Local here, but which Doubletree are you staying at? Is that $267 per night? Because if it is there are probably a lot nicer hotels you can be staying at for the same price. If that is over the 5 day period though that is quite a good deal. |

![]() | Re: Trip Budgets The brand new one near the Hyatt (I think) $267.00 for the entire stay so that would be $39.99 plus 10$ a day for parking.

![]() | Re: Trip Budgets We don't normally go for a full week. It's usually just two or three days. Last trip it was three of us. Airfare for three round trip: $139 each (SW) Hotel Accomendations: $280 (Anaheim Plaza Hotel, Tax Included) 3-Day Hopper Pass: about $450 for all three Spending Money & Food: $300.00 Taxi to/from airport: $80 We stay close enough to walk to the park. We bring a water bottle and refill it throughout the day. We split a lot of meals/snacks. We eat outside the park when we can. We don't stay in an expensive hotel since we'll only be there long enough to sleep and shower. We also don't buy a lot of souvenirs. We DO take a lot of pictures though and print them out at home. |

![]() | Re: Trip Budgets That is a good deal. If you have read my other posts from people wanting to stay near the DLR you will notice I pretty much try to get them to stay at one of the hotels in one of the beach cities -- especially in the summer. But that is a very good deal, and if budgeting is a big issue then that's great! |

![]() | Re: Trip Budgets Myself, wife and our 2 girls, 2 year old, 1 year old. Airfare: $610.00 Southwest Rental Car: $200.00 Dollar Rent A Car 7 days Hotel: $480.00 Ramada Ltd Suites 6 night stay Park Tickets: $380.00 2 5day park hoppers Food and Misc.: $1000.00 Total: $2670.00 Seeing the look on my girls face when they see Cinderella in person dressed in their Cinderella dresses: Priceless. We will be going late March for a week. The hotel is about a mile away but has alot of inexpensive places to eat close by. I love Disneyland but their food is way too expensive and usually sucks. |

![]() | Re: Trip Budgets Airfare...$200 range usually (apiece...two people) Hotel...$1500 DL Hotel for 8 nights (two people...pool view) ...$260 Anaheim Plaza for five nights (two people) Airport tips $10-20 Housekeeping tips - $3.00 per night average Shuttle tips $10.00 Have an AP so tickets are not an issue Food...always one character breakfast, usually just two meals a day (either a LATE breakfast at Riverbelle) or early lunch somewhere, then dinner...which can be anything from the corndog cart to a sit down dinner. Lots of Dole Whips!!!! Take water to the hotel and carry it into the park. Somehow for me, the word budget and DL just do not mesh too well!! I budget when I am NOT at DL...for DL!!!

![]() | Re: Trip Budgets We usually stay right across the street at the BW Park Place Inn or the Park Vue Inn which has military discounts as well. We save money a few ways there is no fee for parking and we walk right across the street to the park, we walk back to the room for some meals that we either pick-up at McDonalds or Quiznos or that we brought and put in the fridge, we go and eat at Ihop across the street as well, bring our own water and sodas put it in the fridge at the room and take with us when we go to the park to save on buying them at the park. I am sure thre are more ways we save but I cant think of them all at the moment. |
