It's cool guys. I'll do it one resort at a time rather than THE WHOLE WORLD at once. Disneyland Resort is now complete. I wouldn't mind some older historical info but until I stumble across it, I'm not going to seek it out.

Re: Disney Rides and the Animated Films that Inspired them

Just added Disney World resort dining areas and entertainment that apply to animated films. I need to add shops as I'm sure there's more than just Panchito's at Coronado Springs right?

WDS at Disneyland Paris has a live show - Animagique - and a movie show - Cinemagique. The animated movies and characters featured in them are as follows: -

Animagique - Mickey & Donald, Dumbo (Pink Elephants), Lion King, Little Mermaid, Jungle Book. This show also originally featured a Pinocchio section which was removed quite some time ago.

Cinemagique - Pinocchio and a brief flash of Monsters Inc.

Well done on this list!

Thanks for the input! I couldn't have done a lot of it without people helping out! I'll add those in now.

Wasn't Frontierland based on a nature TV series that Walt Disney produced?

I think Frontierland is based on a great many things... from nature shows to Davy Crockett. Neither are animated.

Added some odds and ends that I discovered while at WDW last week. Mostly stores like Seven Dwarfs Mine, Tinkerbell Treasures, Genie's Magic Lamp of Goodies, Agrabah Bazaar, etc.

Re: Disney Rides and the Animated Films that Inspired them

Updated Thursday, January 31, 2008 with Stitch Live! at Paris Studios.

Can someone tell me if that's the same as Stitch Encounter that was slated for Paris?

And if there's anything new that has opened that's disney character or film related, please let me know!

Re: Disney Rides and the Animated Films that Inspired them

The Contemporary Resort character shop in WDW is also named Fantasia, both the old and new ones.

And isn't the old Motorboat Cruise Dock named Fantasia Gardens too?

Also, the Sleepy Hollow Location in WDW is still open, at least seasonally.

Are you planning on including the sections of the All Star Movies Resort in the section? 101 Dalmatians, Toy Story, Fantasia, are all represented.

Also, WDW had both a Mulan and a Hercules parade too.

Also, what about the Disney Stars and Motor Cars Parade, Spectro Magic, and the Electrical Parade? There are floats that are clearly related to certain movies. Don't know how detailed you're going, but just a thought.

Hope these help. Great job with the list!

Hey thanks for the info! Lemme see if I can answer your questions while asking new ones.

-The Contemporary Hotel's store is just called Fantasia? Or is it The Fantasia Shop? I should do some research!

-The old motorboat cruise dock is "called" Fantasia Gardens but I don't know how official this is. It's not listed on any park map nor is there a sign that points it out by name. This is why I have left it off until I get further evidence.

-What's the Sleepy Hollow section? Do you have more info? Pictures? I have it listed as "closed".

-I wasn't on planning to include the All Star Hotels because those are just decorations. It would be like listing every decoration found around the parks (brooms in the planters in Studios park, etc).

- thanks for pointing out the Mulan and Hercules parades at WDW! I just added them but can you tell me which parks they were in? I put Studios for now.

-As for other parades, I won't include them because it'll just get too excessive. I probably SHOULD but if I do, then I'll have to go all the way to the beginning and include every time Snow White and her dwarfs showed up in a show.

Other than that, I want it as detailed as possible. Links to photos and everything. I'm working on trying to get logo stills for the films I'm missing. I just haven't bought those yet.

Re: Disney Rides and the Animated Films that Inspired them

Well, to be fair about the All Star Resorts, they are the names of the buildings/areas, like the islands in the Caribbean Beach Resort; that's why I was including it.

I believe the shop is just called Fantasia.

Both the Hercules and Mulan parades were in the studios. Also, I know the Hecules Parade was called the Hercules Zero to Hero Victory Parade, but I am not sure of the exact name of Mulan parade.

As for Sleepy Hollow, it is a little refreshment stand a the entryway between the Hub and Liberty Square. It is mostly known for cookies, snacks, and funnel cakes. It was recently open in August, and for the Christmas/New Years rush, it was open for breakfast and served waffles!

And again, thanks for the great thread!

Re: Disney Rides and the Animated Films that Inspired them

Thank you for the input, Yoyo! I think we're the only ones in this thread right now hahaha. I can't do this without everyone's awesome feedback.

Could you tell me more about the All-Star Movie resort? Are the rooms just called Toy Story, One Hundred and One Dalmations, Fantasia? Is there a Fantasia Pool? Is it themed to Fantasia or just named that?

Another thing.. .Sleepy Hollow is still open? I noticed that I do have it on my list but it's listed as closed.

Thanks!
