Will Super Bowl Sunday be croweded at the Parks?

Does anyone think the parks will be crowded or dead?

Sorry to take the thread off topic for a moment, but I just have to ask - since you seem to know - just how crowded, is that place? There's probably more people there, than there are at the Disneyland Resort on Super Sunday. But that would be only a guess, on my part ....

Seriously, I can only go by what I hear from others since I always watch the game. But I remember reading here last year that the parks were surprisingly crowded, and I guess that's been the case the last several years.

It's crowded with lots of moms with strollers hitting your ankles. I just remember many more strollers (and bruises) than usual last year. My husband and I were suprised how crowded it was. I also remember very long lines to eat. Crowded walkways. I can't remember the ride lines, but they definitely weren't jump on and off of rides lines. But hey it's Disneyland, even if it's crowded, micechatters still know how to have fun.

Snopes covered this topic in a list of Superbowl myths:

The say it's a busier week than most of January, but I don't think they use the phrase "crowded as hell."

That's odd, because I talked to someone who was Pluto at the park for 3 years and she said Super Bowl Sunday is one of the least crowded days because all the dads are at home watching the superbowl...and the moms don't want to come withouot them.

Re: Will Super Bowl Sunday be croweded at the Parks?

I am someone who has been going to the Park on Superbowl Sunday for decades. Early on it was one of the least crowded days. This has changed over the last few years. It is now more crowded than the average Sunday for this time of year. However, once the game starts the football lovers disapear to espn zone and other venues where they can watch the game. That leaves the Park with many 'single' parents with children. In general that crowd is more laid-back than average. The drawback as mentioned earlier is that there are more stollers and a higher percentage over children in the crowd.
    Hope this helps.

The park is going to be packed! Considering we (Los Angeles) haven't had a football team in a long time what else is there to do? I only wished someone would come to Los Angeles and represent our city in the game of football. Thank goodness for baseball, basketball, and hockey.

    I agree.

It's interesting because my 8 year old son has never known what it is like to live in an area with a pro football team. The NFL better do something about this soon, because he likes the Dodgers and absolutely LOVES the Lakers. But he doesn't really care too much about football. Now with David Beckham joining the Galaxy it will be interesting to see what happens with that. Being that LA is the #2 market a lot of kids will be growing up who have not been exposed to the NFL.

Superbowl Sunday was the only time that I've seen the Golden Horseshoe with a line down to Main St.

I also got my passport on a SB Sunday, waited an hour and 1/2 in line.

I think it would be busy for the same reason as everyone else. What else is there to do? Then again, I don't think a lot of out-of-towners would schedule a trip when they could be watching football and having a barbeque (I'd rather go to DL than do that).

Thanks for all of the responses, I have not been in a few years on Super Bowl Sunday, and as a Cast Member remember it being very slow. I think that I will try it anyway.

The word is out about how "not crowded" it was, and now....it's crowded.
