I think he meant "loop" hole as in TSI will still be based on Tom Sawyer but incorporate the pirate theme instead of revamping the whole island to be totally a Pirates of the Carribean Island theme. It gives them a way of saying, if Pirate's Lair is not a success, that it was just a temporary overlay of the original TSI. Make sense... its like they want to take it to bed but not marry it... =P

The same way they never walked away from the idea that DCA is themed to be an amusement park in a parking lot, so if it doesn't work out, they can always change it back into a parking lot.

    Thanks for the update!

I can't wait to see how this all turns out. Even if they put up a wall to block the view of the construction, it'll still be easy to see over it from the New Orleans/Pirates bridge, the Disney Gallery balcony, and the Mark Twain and Columbia. This will be a fun project to track!

As for the Mine Train thru Natures Wonderland bridge - here's hoping they're working on getting something fixed over there, and not just covering up the hole. I'd love to see the actual bridge reconstructed.

Here's a photo I took of the Natures Wonderland bridge area on February 3:

I like how they used a quote though. It's not just openly saying "We're adding pirates," pretty clever. . .
If we chase the stars to lose our shadow, Peter Pan and Wendy turned out fine.

This post makes me so sad!
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

There was a whole raft-full of TDA suits going over to the island this afternoon. Once they got over there, they wandered around the stage area making big sweeping arm gestures at the shack there and pointing at different things.

    Re: Tom Sawyer's Island Progress

Okay, I gotta bring this up. I spoke to a CM today and she said that the pirates lair will be opening March 13, to be synced with the pirates premiere. Whaat? I told her that didn't sound right, and that she'll be double checking for me, but I just thought I should throw it out there...
