The Pirate's Premiere is May 19th not March 13th.

Most likely. Hopefully we'll get all of this info straightened out! I'm still pretty certain it's in May, but CMs, man... Or maybe they're confusing us on purpose. o_O

The CM might have been getting confused with the Sub attraction whichis going full steam and might have some preliminary riders sometime in March for preview rides and then a few weeks later public previews to get the attraction ready for a june 11 opening.

Pirate lairs has a tight time schedule and will open a few days before the premier

Yeah, I saw that camo netting there and shuttered. I can't even imagine the pain they will have disentaingling it from the plantlife. But it will ease my mind if it disapears. Gah I hate that stuff

Someone should take a picture every day and then at summer put them together and make a montage

It would be cool if we could keep this thread going with the same type of...um...enthusiasm (rabid hyesteria) that we had going with the Haunted Mansion last year, and post pics as they become available.

I dropped by this afternoon hoping to see the island buzzing with activity after yesterday's report, but....

    Nothin.

I couldn't even take the Mark Twain around for a closer look as it went down just as I arrived...

The only two signs of work I found when I arrived at 4:30 were...

    these carts full of ....stuff...

and the ladder from yesterday can still be seen through the open gate....albeit all the way from the French Fry Wagon.

I might swing by again tomorrow for another look.

Not like I'm anxious or anything....

    Pictures from today.

    No webbing or posts.

Notice the tags on the signs and the pink spray paint?

Same here except the Injun Joe's Cave sign is gone.

They were using one of the rafts to go back and forth from Hungry Bear to TSI.

And I got this too. Trash cans are behind this. Besides that there isn't much. Tags on EVERY sign though including the Fort Wilderness one.

    Re: Tom Sawyer's Island Progress

I like the sign tying the whole pirates thing in with Mark Twain. It's a stretch, but it does justify the additions.

One thing I did notice too was that a CM in a Mark Twain captain's costume was steering the rafts to and fro. I wonder if the TSI CM costumes have gone to Yesterland.

I'm glad ldf posted the pic of the sign.

Thats where the show would make the most sense, but from what we've heard, the stunt show will be around the Mill to draw guests to the island.
