To me, I've always thought it a bit silly to pit Disney theme parks against each other. In fact, I think it's just plain nutty the way some fans argue and fight over this, insisting their own local park is better because [insert reason here].
DL is the original. The granddaddy. The one Walt walked in. I'm glad to be a native and current resident of Southern California which means I'm in close proximity to DL.
And it's great to be able to use Walt Disney World, on the other side of the country/continent, as a vacation getaway, because it makes for a great multi-day vacation experience. I bear absolutely no ill will towards WDW even though DL is my "home park." WDW has only been good to me (for the most part). MK is different than DL. But for everything that the o.g. Disneyland represents, it's almost unfair to compare it with Florida's version.
And then I consider myself lucky to have family that lives in Tokyo, which has enabled me to make several trips to their two theme parks, including the absolutely awesome Tokyo DisneySea. Again, it gives me different Disney theme park experiences.
I'm glad that MK and DL and TDL are not exactly the same. I love them all. But my heart belongs in Anaslime --err, I mean, Anaheim.
In other words: I'm not a hater.
