I don't like those "Nara" teacups. They're boring and bland. The DL teacups are colorful and prettier to look at because of that. They are supposed to be fantasy storybook teacups, not giant replicas of real teacups that might be sitting on someone's table. DL's are better, and more fun to look at.
the Nara ones are nice... but the disneyland ones fit the theme of alice in wonderland better. Personally, I think Nara Dreamland is a big knock off of Disneyland, but an awful version of it. Their Matterhorn looks kind of like a pile of rubble with a 30 second rollercoaster around it.
Nara Teacups look kind of tacky, like a fake English tea set you would buy at an airport gift shop in the 1970's. There's also the issue that they are much smaller than the Disneyland style and could only fit three small Japanese people, or two Americans/Australians/Canadians as shown above.
Sadly, Nara Dreamland closed for good on August 31st, 2006. I haven't heard if the rides and Disneyland knock-off icons have been demolished yet, or if the park is just sitting there vacant. But it is now closed and sent to Nara Yesterland.
Yea, but which one has the better spin? Disneyland still put the brakes on the Tea party.
