Stay or go Rockin Space Mountain

Since Rockin Space Mountain has been around for over a month now, I want to find out how everyone likes it. Should this new version be permentaly installed or become the night time version or never see the darkness of space again?

I am totally fine with a "rockin" night time version of Space, but not this version, we need a better song, and they need to do something about the massive amount of lights on the track. I like the idea of having a diffeent experience at night but it needs to be done right.

Thumbs down Re: Stay or go Rockin Space Mountain

I was finally able to experience Rockin' Space Mountain on Saturday, February 10th and I wasn't impressed at all.

First, I couldn't stand the music they used, it was horrible and way too loud. But then again, I'm not a fan of the RHCP or that kind of music. And secondly, the *special effects* throughout the ride were cheap and quite under-whelming!

I won't go on it again until after April 26th when Disney knocks off the *Rockin* part and it becomes Space Mountain again, the way it should always be and stay!

I didn't vote because I don't think it should stay permanently, even as a night time version only, and I don't think it should go away forever either.

I think it is best done like HMH or IASWH where it is done seasonally, maybe once every year or two. But I don't think we should permanently keep it nor get rid of it for good either.

I feel the same way too. But, I can't believe all the hate this is getting though. I love the song, then again I am a RHCP fan. As for the lights and effects, if you just forget all you've heard and imagine this is your first time riding and enjoy the EXPERIENCE ... instead of enjoying the track ... then I am SURE you will have a great time (just like I always do each and ever time).

Then again, if you don't want to see the track on Rockin' SM all you have to do is shut your eyes and have someone punch you in the eye ... then you'll be seeing your stars in the dark. ;-)

Meh. If it ain't broken, why fix it? SM was just fine before the lights and the music. They should have kept it simple.

What's wrong with the original Space Mountain.

From what I can tell, this Rockin' crap has nothing to do with imagning you're in a rocket flying through space. Isn't that what Space Mountain is supposed to be?

A roller coaster in a building is not Disney.

A rocket in outer space is.

I dont think that Rockin is the most horrible thing that happened to DL, because I do like it but I like the classic, daytime version a lot more. I wouldnt mind it just being at night

A roller coaster in a building is more Disney than a roller coaster just plopped there for no reason at all (aka California Screamin').

The "Rockin'" works for California Screamin', but is the worst idea ever for Space Mountain. The exec who thought that one up should be superglued to a Space Mountain car and made to ride 24/7 until what passes for brains pours our his or her ears. And then what ever pieces are left over should be "fired" and fed to the feral cats behind Hungry Bear.
