    Rainy Days

I am planning on going to Disneyland Resort soon with my gf. Im taking her there and a surprise dinner for her at the Blue Bayou. Ive been checking up on the weather abd it says it will rain on the 19th. Do riany days make alot of change in the park? I know outside attractions will be closed alog with the parades and firworks but do rainy days reall affect visits?

I went on a day that looked like it was going to rain. I went into Disney Playhouse at DCA and came out to a torrent of rain. It was awesome! My kid and I were running around in the rain and puddles. No one was there. It was the best.

    Re: Rainy Days

Crowds tend to be lighter. The only attractions that generally shut down in the rain are Alice in Wonderland and Mad Tea Party (no idea about DCA), though outdoor rides are generally unpleasant in heavy rain, and if there's lightning, all bets are off. Parade may happen in very, very light rain, though much of the choreography will be cut; otherwise, you'll get the Rainy Day Cavalcade. Fireworks depends more on wind conditions than rain.

As long as you're prepared for it, it's actually quite a lot of fun in the rain. Wear layers and bring an umbrella, and you'll have a blast.

Crowds are less and the shows don't happen unless the rain has stopped and the ground is dry.

Rainy days can be very romantic. Just dress warm and bring a rain jacket and umbrella.

Yup, crowds are less, and the floors all around Disneyland get very slick. Last Saturday, it was sprinkling a bit at night, and I saw two guests lose their footing. Watch out for those slippery pavements!

    This is not good advice.
Dress for warm weather, then you'll HAVE to snuggle together when it gets cold and wet. pneumonia might come later. That is the risk you have to take.

Come on, let be honest, there was no one there because it was DCA. : DUCKS : Seriously though, rainy days can be fun as long as you are expecting them and plan accordingly.
Stalking is when two people go for a long romantic walk together but only one of them knows about it.

    Re: Rainy Days

Rainy days are the bast days to go. The crowds are drastically reduced and I think the only rides that are closed are a couple in Fantasyland. I am really sad that it didn't rain more this season.

That is one thing that I like about DL, almost all of the rides remain open during a rainy day. The last time I went to Knotts, it started to rain and basically the whole park shut down. I thought to myself *If I was at DL right now, all the rides would still be open* I hate Knotts

    Re: Rainy Days

As everyone else has said, the crowds are less. When you think about it, a good majority of the attractions/rides are indoors, and are not really affected.
Does anyone even bother with signatures anymore?

    Re: Rainy Days

Yap, like everyone's already said, rainy days are the best because nobody is there! If you want you can bring a bright yellow poncho (also known as a glorified trash bag) but what's the point? Enjoy the rare rain and no lines.

Also, a lot of outdoor vending might close in the rain. Happened last time I was there.
