Underappreciated Rides: The Single Rider Trip Report

First, I'll say that there no pics in my story... I'mnot sure if the SRs who took pics will add to mine (a huge TR would be awesome!) or just start their own.... But there are some great pics out there!
But here are a few fun thoughts...

~ Rain? I don't like it. It had stopped by the time I got there, but dripping trees and wet pants and socks didn't make me a happy camper. Nor did SO MANY things being closed (Gallery, ride board, pretzel carts, Teacups and Alice even though it hadn't rained in a few hours...) though that wasn't all because of the rain, I assume.

~ front of the Big Thunder is def soooo slow but it allowed me to look around a lot more. In the falling rocks tunnel, there is a part of the roof that look wood or metal - did there used to be something there?

~ BFJen! It was great to see you! I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to talk to you more or trade any pins! Thanks for the lollypops and the valentine

~ The Single Riders meet was fun, the only person who came who wasn't already there was dontbecheekin. And Mouserscise brought us Pocky!!

Somewhere along the way, we decided to show those Underrated Attractions and Rides some love - and also knock out a few "first time" rides as well! (Ok, we snuck a few bigger rides in there too).

Went went on Pirates, Pooh (three in the back seat...), the canoes (CMs were great... DCKen, I was wondering if one was you! I couldn't remember you name), Toontown - Gadget's Go Coaster, Chip and Dale's Treehouse (lots of singing of Disney Afternoon theme songs!), the Jolly Trolley and Roger Rabbit. Then to Snow White and Casey Jr. (they were training on Casey... it was neat to see!).

Then we went over to DCA (after I ran back to my car for my sweatshirt... Thanks anonymous for going with me!) for some grub (Pizza Oh Mow Mows... the underappreciated restaurant! ) We considered
Golden Dreams but passed and did all of Flik's no-longer fun Fair (I still loved it) in order of worst to best IMO, minus Tough to Be A Bug. We fit all 6 of us into a Chinese take out container. Oh that was tight!!! We ended DCA with Soarin'.

Back to DL for Space (thanks to anon for the extra FP!!) and then to Alice. What a cute ride.

The other SRs left so I joined some others after Fantasmic (ugh, I still don't like that thing) and if you haven't read Sadako's Peolemover thread then you should!!

today I am soooo sore - I guess that 3 rides on SM (yeah, they sent us through twice!) does that to a girl! Anyway, icky start turned to some sun and blue skies and really great day!!

Oh AND I saw Lynn and Alex from The Amazing Race! I sat next to them on the train. That made my day!

I didn't take any pictures, but I had a great time. Thanks to everyone who was there who made it so wonderful.

The Underappreciated rides were well appreciated by us Single Riders. I loved the canoes, except for the fact that I was sitting behind 3 children under the age of 10. It's safe to say that I got a little wet, and didn't have much room to really row. And what is with just us 6 MCers were the ones that were rowing. Darn tourists!

Oh and on Alice, MANY Hive Fives were given. (to people in our group as well as random guests.)

Darn. I'm so bummed. I may have been able to make some of this meet. I thought about coming over yesterday evening but didn't have anyone's number. Argh. Sounds like you all had a lot of fun. I'll be back in town the end of this month... SOMEDAY I'll make a single riders meet.

I cannot believe you people got me on the canoes. It was a first for me and a lot of fun Though I did have to block out the thoughts of that nasty green water being splashed around by the guy two rows in front of me.
