We waited around for more folks to show, but only this guy... Crazylegs
tried to offer the boy some Pocky, courtesy of Mousercise, but he would not. Not sure why, because it wasn't "Men's Pocky" but oh well. He missed out.
Here's organizer Mousercise
with the Pocky she brought for everyone.
We waited as long as possibly could for anyone else to join the fun, but all who showed was dontbecheekin
. So her, me (coheteboy), mousercise, mrmainstreet, NeverNeverland, StitchTT6
, and Pezz Lightyear
went off on our merry way. Monorail Man
had a sudden change in 'single' heart and went off on their own journey.
The remaining seven of us realized that we had done nothing for three hours and the executive decision was to go on Pirates of the Caribbean. But only after we look for some 'secret' bathrooms.
We walked through Rancho Del Zocalo and I thought the light shining through the corridoor was pretty stunning.
Will these guys ever leave us alone??
Pirates. A group of single riders select a ride that doesn't allow for 'single riders' as a good way to start.
As soon as we exited Pirates, the difficult decision arose as to what we should ride next. In my opinion, the second ride of the day determines how the rest of the day will go. Superstitious I know, but hehe.. it's MY trip report okay??
So! We've all done Haunted Mansion to death in the recent months, and with Splash Mountain down for the count, we knew the wait for Pooh was probably less than a minute long.
Along the way, Mousercise leaked that she had never experienced the Davy Crockett Explorer Canoes before. WHAAA???? It was then decided that the rest of the day would be a tribute to the Underappreciated Rides of Disneyland.
Is it humany possible to squeeze SEVEN grown adults into one bee-hive? Yes. No rider will be left behind!
The Pooh ride... well.. to be honest, I couldn't even think about the ride. Pezz Lightyear was on my lap.
Then it was time for the Canoes! It was a win-win for everyone as NeverNeverland wanted to see the Canoeboys, and there were a two pretty cute canoegirls for the gents as well. StitchTT6 opted out of the canoes but waited until we were done to regroup.
first row: dontbecheekin, mrmainstreet. middle: me, mousercise. back: neverneverland, pezz lightyear.
The Canoes were great. We had a pretty funny canoe guide... much larger and older than the usual, but I think his comedic timing was a lot better than most Jungle Cruise skippers.
Continuing on the underappreciated tour, we headed for TOON TOWN!
Below, the sign posted in front of Tom Sawyer's Island.
