About LinkBacksI was just listening to the Parade of the Stars parade music and i must say it is the most uninspiring parade music I have ever heard? I remember the floats were pretty awful too!!! Was it the worst parade ever? If not then what was?

That's the old parade, not the current one right? If so I hated it.
The one they have now looks pretty good actually. I might even considering thinking about sitting down and watching it sometime, even though I hate parades.
The Parade of the Stars suffered from repetitive music, boring and tiny floats, and too much Fantasia 2000. Oh, and "special guests" dancing around in animal hats and tutus. I'm so bummed I missed out doing that.
I'd be hard-pressed to call it the worst parade of all time, because there's some competition, but I would call it the most uninspiring, or give it the "Longest Run it Didn't Deserve" award (it dragged on for five years!).
Beware...the floats lurk in the back of our minds...for they linger still...backstage.

I liked Parade of the Stars. Belle got her own very pretty float, I got to see my brother in a tutu leaping effeminately down Main Street, and I got a free pin. So it's good in my book.

I thought it was purdy. Of course, I only sat down to watch it once all the way through (not a parade-watcher) and only because my husband and daughter were in it.....

As for Parade of Stars, it was hideous, and not too
surprisingly it shares something in common with the
whole "Dream" fiasco" ~
CLOUDS!!!!!!! Remember the clouds on absolutely
everything, from the dwarves shoes, to the overalls
worn by the cast members, to the golden cloud last
float ~ at least they didn't bring back all that crap
for year of a million dreams.
Now, if only my dream would come true, a New
parade for Disneyland and a major overhaul of
MSEP (or DEP as some know it). I'd actually
have much bigger dreams for DL And DCA, but
I seriously doubt these two little things will even
get the attention that is so desperately needed.
I don't know about the normally, but the day I was in that parade, it was the best parade DL had ever seen
Worst parade ever would have to go to High School Musical, which IMHO was the worst Disney performance I had ever seen until I walked into Golden Screams.
I liked Light Magic's music... i have not herd the music from the Parade of Stars.. but im not really interested in that parade.
I do not like POD. What about the parade a few yrs back when they picked audience members? Was that POTS? I liked it until they stopped picking guests for it! I even have my animal hats still!
The original music for POTS was Pomp and Circumstance,
blechhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!
And they used the SAME loop of music for the ENTIRE parade.
Nothing special for different parade sections/units, like what
they do for MSEP and DL's 50th Parade.
DL got so much negative feedback for using the graduation march
for POTS, that they soon changes it to the most generic Disney
piece of poorly done, mismatch of music they could find.
And WHY in the world would the have allowed GOLD to be such
a MAJOR color in POTS?????? It was the 45th Parade, NOT the
50th. If I ever see another guest in the park with a tutu, it
will be too soon.
Thats funny I was thinking the same thing POTS had more gold than POD lol.

This has got to be the worst piece of music EVER performed at Disneyland since July 17, 1955!
It sounds nice but there are only like 4 notes in the main chorus, and it repeats the same note over and over and over again. The worst song EVER.
Disney parades are known for their awesome sound systems, and this is the only saving grace for this lousy song. Someone in the entertainment division has to realize that crap played through a state of the art sound system is still going to sound like crap. (apologies about the PG-13 language).
