    Sub question???

This may be stupid, but are these subs refurbished subs from the old ride or are they brand new? I thought I read that some of the old ones were sold, but these new ones look like them.

Some of the FLORIDA subs got sold, but the entire fleet remained at Anaheim, and it is the ORIGINAL 8 subs from the fleet that was built in the 1950's that have been refurbished and will be used in the new attraction.

It's smarter and cheaper to reuse the subs. The original subs cost a pretty shiny penny in 1959. $80,625 each to scrachbuild, $645,000 in total just for the submarines themselves. That was is 1959, I wonder how much that is today.

I wouldn't be too surprised if someone added two more zeros to that figure.
