The only possibility that makes sense is if the center of gravity shifts and the cars are able lean into the curves as some high-speed trains do.

Slowing down to make the 90 degree turn or reaching out and grabbing a poll to "swing" yourself in the right direction?
Has this idea actually ever been applied on a ride anywhere before? Sure, its a bit of a simple idea, but I just dont see it happening. A pole attached on the vehicle that grabs onto another pole to swing it away? Im not sure about that...

I think by "pole" you mean "mast" and by "more fun" you mean "more PIRATES"!!!

    That is the best idea.
    Stop being greedy.

"The fact is, squire, the moment a man takes to a pipe, he becomes a philosopher. It's the poor man's friend; it calms the mind, soothes the temper, and makes a man patient under difficulties. It has made more good men, good husbands, kind masters, indulgent fathers, than any other blessed thing on this universal earth."

Re: I got a great idea for Rocket Rods/People Mover!

I think his idea is to have a hinged attachment to the top of the vehicles. Think of the carnival ride where you sit in a suspended bucket that goes in a circle with all the other buckets until you reach the point where your bucket starts going horizontal through force. Greased Lighting was the one at Knotts before the Boardwalk area moved in. Castle Park has the Thunder Bolt.

So it is something like that. Where an arm is always attached to the vehicle as it goes down the track, but on the sharp turns, the inertia of the vehicle causes it to contiue off the track and the arm keeps it anchored to the track so it will swing back and continue along.

Now, all that said and done, I don't think it would work. Number one, ride system sounds dangerous and complicated. Number two, doesn't seem very futuristic to have the transportation of the future designed to jump the track due to excess speeds.

Ok here is my idea.sorry for lateness i was on a trip.

Ok. They Put a roof on top of attraction and then they have a track in the roof . Then there is a pole that sticks out of the vehicle and into the track on top. and then on top there is a little swivel thing that will make it turn so about two feet away from the turn the vehicle turns and then when at the turn you go straight.

If no one understands i will explain again

well in that case, you wouldn't even need a bottom track... you would just classify it as a "suspension coaster"
