Southern California Spring Breaks

Planning a trip for late-March to late-April. I'll be avoiding Easter weekend, but just wondered when the kiddies will be out of school in SoCal. Thanks!

We're in San Diego County and our Spring break starts March 26 and goes until April 16.

Most Orange County elementary through HS are either the week before or week after Easter... Our private and public colleges and universities vary greatly!

Cast Member blockout dates are usually good to go by. CM's are blocked out from 3/30 - 4/15. Those are subject to change, but as of right now...that's when Disney expects the most people. Hope that helps.

I think alot of schools are on spring break late march to early april this year. My spring break is the last week of march and high schools get the first to second week of april I think.

Always a good idea to avoid the entire week before and after Easter if you dont want higher than normal crowds.

nothern nevada's spring break starts march10th for one week, also DLR resort hours are increased that week which is always a good sign that the parks will be more crowded than usual

We have a trip planned from the 8th (Easter) thought the 11th. Are the crowds going to be similar to the first week of January? The Cal AP passes are blocked out won't that help a little?

The Cal AP passes are blocked when Disneyland expects big crowds. Park hours and hotel rates are other ways to guesstimate likely crowds. The days I'm booked for right now are April 15th-17th. The two SoCal passes aren't blocked then, which I take as a good sign. However, rates at the Desert Inn have jumped from $59 when I made reservations, to $119 now. Something's going on then, and I thought it might be a late Spring Break in SoCal.

Don't forget ski week... which happens to be this week for some San Diego schools.

The schools where I am in San Bernardino Co are out for Spring Break April 2nd to the 9th.

Basically it'll be crowded March through mid-April.

The week before Easter is usually a little worse. Many schools that get the week after Easter also get out for the Thursday and Friday before Easter. Those days seem to find almost nobody in school.

Most spring breaks come the week before and the week after Easter. My spring break starts March 12th, which is the earliest week of the spring break season.
