Disneyland Trip Sept 7-10

I know this is a bit far out. But, we're so excited we can barely contain ourselves(that'd be the husband neuhickman80 and I). We're going to be flying into LAX Sept 3rd and then driving up to Sacramento to visit my family and possibly stopping in Monterey and getting a trip to San Francisco in there too....MAYBE even Lake Tahoe! Then, on the 7th we'll be headed down early in the morning to DL and staying down there until the 10th when we come back to Wisconsin! Now, I've been to DL a ton of times. In fact, this will be my 40th vacation to DL. I was trying to do 50 by the 50th. But, that just wasn't feasible. Maybe 60 by the 60th. Probably not....but, we'll see. ANYWAY, this is the first time Eric and I have been together to DL and the first time he's ever been. Any suggestions on romantic things to do in the park? I've only been on trips before with my family and with my best friend Sarah. So, any ideas?

Aaaah ... ok ... you have that gamblin bug! The Hyatt is REALLY REALLY nice and they have a casino on property... If you are going to be in sac beforehand though I would definitely do something in south shore ... vegas sized casinos there ... but definitely try to make some time to just enjoy the beauty of the lake too! September is the nicest time ... not too hot, not too cold, and no tourists to run over! :devil:

I always went to South Shore anyway. North Shore is okay if you like that old diner feel(which I do sometimes). But, it's nicer and bigger in S. Lake Tahoe! There really is no choice for this Leo! I'll pick the bigger and glitzier one every time. Did I mention my husband is 6'6"?! He may not be glitzy. But, he's the star of MY show!

Is that Him in the picture with you? He does look quite tall. I am 6'1" and My Ex Wife is 5' even, so we too were a height impared couple.

Wow, that is a lot of driving! There is a whole lot of empty space between the L.A. area, and the Bay/Sac Area! (No Offence to Central Cali Folks)

Why Not Fly into San Francisco and out from L.A.? Saves you from 7 hours of Farms and truckers.

Of course of course eat at the Blue Bayou! I say for lunch, because I honeslty prefer the lunch menu. Too much meat on the dinner menu. For dinner, it's easier to snag something that you can eat while you wait for the fireworks to start. I always get Blue Bayou for lunch when I can, and a corn dog from the can at about 7:30, when I go find a seat for the fireworks.

And you can make wishes in Snow White's wishing well. You could also request a boat to yourself on Pirates of the Caribbean. I see couples pass by doing that all the time. They generally yell at my restaurant: "It's our Tenth Anniversary!!" yadda yadda, then everyone claps, and goes back to their Monte Cristos.

For a first trip, though? Gosh, I have a friend who's never been, and I'm trying to figure out how to squeeze everything into one day for him! He's been to DCA, but not DL, can't you believe it?! I don't know how to approach it for a first timer. It's easier with young children.

I can handle the first timer thing no problem. We'll be there enough days to see pretty much everything. Come to think of it, we don't need to really DO anything romantic to have a romantic time there. We're always being romantic. Although, Snow White's Grotto was on my list of things to do. We may just have to make a trip to Blue Bayou. Isn't that where you work? What do you do there? Maybe we'll see you! That would be fun!!!
