The Captian on the Wicked Winch is a new AA? Seems like the same old one that's always been there...but I'm usually trying to get better low light (no flash) photos of the Hidden Mickey on the fort during that sequence

It is my understanding that the same animatonic used for the "Blackbeard" version of the Captain is now being used for the Barbosa disaster, so yes, technically the Captain AA is not new, only his skin and clothing are.

I think on that DVD featurette, when Johnny Depp rides the ride, even HE comments that Barbossa looks like Geoffrey Rush has had a bad day.

then how come on the dvd Rush talks about how the AA's face looks just like him

That was the one movie addition that really bothers me as well. It doesn't fit the modified storyline, and it replaces a great soundtrack element.

This was a great element, I agree. However, go to Japan, and it's still in theirs. (Granted, it's in Japanese, but it's there.)

being an avid fan of anything Orleans Square... Why dont they also return the ride to it's original splendor during Christmas? they take the time to convert the HM? They surely can spare a few bucks to do the Old Pirates once a year..just plug in the old stuff.. cant be that difficult.

As a Depp fan ( dont ask, dont comment) i think the AA doesnt look like Sparrow at all.. it looks like a bad wigged costumed thing with fetal alcohol syndrome.. ( no offense meant to anyone with FAS) I would think that the AA team would do a better job than what they did do...despite knowing these things need to hold up forever doing repetitive motions and all but the faces are tweaked in all 3 cases of Sparrow.
Abe Lincoln looked marvelous.. where are the people that made him?
