    Blue Bayou shooting star?

I just went to the Blue Bayou last week and noticed the shooting star is gone. I starred at the ceiling like an idiot for 15 minutes, no star. Why would they get rid of something so simple yet so cool?

Well, light travels from the sun. Then, bounces off of our planet, and back into our eyes so we can perceive color. My body can intercept that light and dance around on it!

Hey, you work at the Blue Bayou, right? If you find out why they got rid of it for me I'll give you a sticker.

Oh my gosh... I completely forgot about that shooting star! I'd love to see it again, especially if they could make its track a little random.

That was such a cool touch.

I will ask about it, but most of my leads and managers don't seem to notice that kind of thing. Most didn't see the new parade or fireworks until two or three weeks after they premiered. What?!

    It is still there

I was there on Monday, May 30 and the shooting star was still there. I rode at 10pm and specifically looked for it.

It is VERY faint, almost undetectable, but it was there.

It streaks across the sky every few seconds right over the water between the Pirates boats and the Blue Bayou.

The last time I went to DL (last October) I ate at the Bayou for the first time and was actually seated right next to the projector for the shooting star. It's a pretty simple mechanism that drives the projection. It shouldn't be that hard to fix.

For what they're charging, I hope your food didn't get cold.

"Oh look, there's a shooting star!
Wish our food was not so far.
    Sitting on the serving tray.
    So far away.

Could the server please be told
That our lunch is getting cold?
The kitchen sent it out about

    There it is.
    My steak is getting old.
    Your Monte Cristo's cold
    And turning white now.

When he comes by grab his pants.
That may be our only chance.
Whoops! He turned and got away
    And blew by you!"
