Friends. There are a variety of types. There exist the friends that you meet and gradually grow a fondness for and others that you just know passively. Still there are those rare people you meet that you instantly connect with. When Dustysage and I met SirClinksalot and his wife, Belle, we instantly liked them. When we met their two kids we fell in love with their whole family.
Dustysage and I were invited to spend the day with SirClinksalot and Belle to celebrate their son's 9th birthday along with their family. Generally we don't head out to the resort on a Saturday but we jumped at the chance to spend time with the family that we adore so much.
The Clinksalot clan (SirClinksalot, SC's Mom, Belle, Belle's Mom, and the two Clinks'okids) had rezzies at Blue Bayou and we planned to meet them at the resort after thier decadent lunch. It was a little bit after 2pm. Dusty and I had just picked up lunch and were heading to the resort with a little gift for the birthday boy. SirClinksalot called as we approached the resort to tell us that he had procured Space Mountain Fast Passes for our whole group. "YIPEEE!!!" But that they were now headed over to DCA "(Groan)!" Dusty said we would meet them there.
We got off the tram and saw an alarming rock in a planter
We pulled into the Parking structure parked on the top level and hopped onto the tram. Crossing the gates into DCA we called the family and they said they were about to ride Monster’s Inc. We said we would meet them at the exit. We went there and waited. Soon the birthday boy and his family joined us.
Here they come!
Happy Birthday big guy!
Belle, whom I LOVE, suggested we get a little coffee. Anytime is a good time for coffee. We headed over the the train place, as the kids called it. AKA Bakersfield Bakery. We narrowly missed the High School Musical parade. Bless their hearts. They sure entertain. I got my cup of Joe and the rest got their drinks.
HSM souvenier cups litter the display case
My Favorite cookie at the resort.
We then decided to go over to check out the line for Screamin’. But wait! The birthday boy needced his bag o' free tortillas. We waited in LINE for 5 minutes to get a dang bag of tortillas.
"A 5 minute wait for a Tortilla?!?!?"
Dusty gave SirClinksalot something to tide him over.
Belle's daughter's cool jacket.
Happy birthday kid
After getting over to Paradise Pier, however, we saw a gargantuan (relatively speaking) line for Screamin’.
Oh well. I grabbed two fast passes for SirClinksalot and his son to use later on and we went towards Mailaboomer. SC’s Daughter wanted to ride Mailaboomer and so I joined them while the others waited.
Dustysage and the kids enjoy Disney's Prisonland!
Not yet kiddo

Meh. The Cast members were great and really got the crowd through.
After a shot into the sky our group traveled over to a Bug’s land for “It’s tough to be a Bug” This is one of the very best 3-D shows around. It’s tight, not boring and is short enough to keep the line moving at a reasonable pace.
A big ball o' dung.
SC’s Mom and Belled Mom had not been on ITTBAB and it’s always fun to go with first timers.
THEY LOVED IT.
The birthday boy wanted to ride the bumper cars and he go this wish.
The kids race to Dusty. Don't we all
After a brief stop we wandered into Flik’s Fun Fair and got in the tedious line for The Tuck and Roll bumper cars.
The line is how long?
SirClinksalot gets ready to roll
It was nice enough. I cheated and asked a Cast member where the four leaf clover was. Here is a pic. If you want to know where it is just pm me.
The four leaf clover
Enough of the bug world it was time for our Soarin’ FP’s that SirClinksalot so generously picked up for us. Or was it??? We messed up on the time and had about a half hour to kill.
As SC picked up some FP’s for our group for Tower of Terror, we “enjoyed” The Block Party Bash Parade.
While SC’ and the birthday boy ran off to ride Screamin’, Belle, the Mom’s, Dustysage and I poked around Redwood Creek and Grizzly Peak.
SC and his son returned early because they didn’t want to keep the group waiting. How sweet they are.
Our group headed on to Soarin’, one of my favorite rides in DCA.
We asked for the front row and they CM’s obliged.
The Mom’s loved it. It was now time for Tower. Along the way we ran into SEENOEVIL. What a Sweet CM!
Tower’s queue is one of the best things to shoot. Such good lighting.
Belle’s Mom LOVED Tower. She was such a sweet lady.
SirClinksaot still had Fast passes for Indy and Rockin’ Space. We bid farewell to the lovely Belle, her Mom and SirClinksalot’s Mom and headed over to Magical Disneyland.
Entering DL we noticed the parade crowd gathering and we routed through the shops.
A Clinksokid and Dusty
We made a right into Adventureland and and headed straight for Indy. This is one of the best queue’s ever.
After a romp through the Temple of the Forbidden Eye we crossed the park to get to Space. Ughh. The parade had just let out and it was a mad house. We got to Space safely.
Yup, still stinks.
It was time to say goodbye for the evening. But there was still time to spend with the Clinksalots at the noon meet the next day. Good times. We said goodbye to SirClinksalot, his son and his daughter, and said we would see them the next day at the meet.
