    Need help from the Locals!

    Hey all,

I've got a few questions for the Southern Californian locals about some upcoming dates, and I'm hoping some of you can help me out.
I've got two trips planned between now and May and am wondering what the crowds are going to be like.
The first trip is March 22 - 24th and the second is the first week of May.
For some reason, all the hotels around the Resort are booked during the March weekend and I'm wondering what is going on?
Any info. on what you all think would be sooo appreciated!

Much love to all my Micechatters!
I only hope we never lose sight of one thing... that it was all started by a mouse!

isn't that spring break? those march date? If it's Spring Break, the park will be absolutley packed. which would explain why all the hotels are booked up. as for the May dates, I'm not sure. might just be the start of thier summer season which is usually busy everyday.

I'm not a local. But the end of March and beginning of May signal the start of spring break and the Easter holiday.

    It'll be really crowded.

A good indicator of what Disney thinks are busy times, are the posted blackout dates for the Deluxe Anual Passholders. if you go here you can easily see that Easter (spring break) this year is in April.

Isn't the cheerleader convention the 23rd? I seem to recall hearing about that...

^ Yup, cheerleading. They fill up nearly every weekend during March for competitions at the across-the-street convention center.
Does anyone even bother with signatures anymore?

At first I thought maybe it was some trade show convention going on, in which case the parks aren't all that busy because most everyone is at the convention center. But, if this is for a cheerleading convention, then all bets are off. The park will be PACKED!

Here is the link to the Anaheim Convention Center. As you can see they are BUSY! The bigger the convention in town the more crowded the parks tend to be. I think after one day of any convention most participants skip Day 2 and go over to the parks!

Huge thanks for the info. Sadly, it looks like the March date is set in stone. I'll just brace everyone for the shock of having thousands of cheerleaders all around us
Again, thx. everyone for the updates and links to the Conv. Center.

Re: Need help from the Locals!

Hey all, I do have one more question for anyone out there that might know!
For our March trip, we are planning on staying at the Holiday Inn right next to the parking structure. However, I don't want my party of 10 to have to pay $3.00 every day for their shuttle to the park. My question is this... Does anyone know if we could just walk next door to the parking structure and hop on that shuttle, even though our car won't be parked in the structure itself?
I know that sounds cheap, but hey, we're already paying a ton to fly 10 of us out there and rent a car.
Any info. would be hugely appreciated!

I don't see why not. They won't know if you're parked in the structure or not...
