What's the best room at Disneyland Hotel?

We're coming down in late April (50 days to go) and are finally going to fulfill one of our Disney fantasies... staying at the Disneyland hotel. (hooray for tax returns!)

From everyone's experience, what is the absolute best room to request? Is there a certain tower to request or a view to request? We were thinking a view of Downtown Disney would be cool - but we're open to suggestions. Thanks!
    Its Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!

Sierra Tower, Downtown Disney view is the one I see the most often.
It's also where I've stayed the 2 times I've stayed at the DL Hotel.
    Great view, esp. at night.

    Have a fabulous trip!
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

Yep. Also request a high floor for best view.

Isn't Bonita the one with the food bar at the top floor? Or is that the Sierra? I get them mixed up all of the time.

I would reccomend the Mickey Mouse Penthouse

Bonita Tower Suite. Takes up half of the top floor of the Bonita Tower and dwarves the Mickey Mouse Penthouse. It's over 3500 square feet. However, it's a bit on the pricey side.

I think the best room at the Disneyland hotel is over at The Grand Californian.

The conceirge level in on the top floor (11th) of the Sierra Tower, it has the glass exterior elevator that goes non-stop to it. That is the same floor with the Mickey mouse suite, the Pirates suite and the honyeymoon suite.
For a standard room, they charge you a higher room fee if you request Sierra facing DTD, higher floors (I think it is 6 floors or higher) HOWEVER often if you request DTD lower view, they will comp you and upgrade you to a higher floor for the same charge. I personally request Sierra Tower facing pool view, lower level (whatever that is called on the fee chart) and almost always they upgrade me to the DTD view and many times a higher floor. Of course that is if we are getting a room, when you are getting a suite, it is up to them where they put you, even if you request top floor Sierra Tower.
    Good luck!

Another vote for the Sierra Tower with a DTD view. Although one time I had a room in the Bonita Tower that was at the end of the hall and the size of two rooms. It was great!!!

I liked the tower to the right of the sierra tower. We had a view of the courtyard area, but it was nice and quiet. , but if you want views and mariachis...then the sierra tower will work... I liked the music and noise until i wanted to sleep....

We had one just like that! It was so awesome, yet they only charged us for a regular room!
