I just got this from Disney Destinations
Pirates are Invading Tom Sawyer Island
Beware! Beginning May 25, pirates will be taking over Tom Sawyer Island at Disneyland® Park and the scallywags will have their own Pirate’s Lair. When your Clients visit, they’ll cross paths with the swashbuckling pirates and lots of fun, interactive surprises.
The Pirate’s Lair is inspired by Tom and Huck’s pirate games in the classic Mark Twain story, as well as the renewed interest in pirates generated by the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction and motion picture films. The extensive enhancements also build on the hands-on play and exploration that have made the island a popular experience for children and adults for the past 50 years.
In the new Pirate’s Lair, buccaneers and swashbucklers can search for buried treasure while coming face to face with pirates. They’ll also be able to explore “Pirate’s Den” on Castle Rock and venture into “Dead Man’s Grotto” in the island caverns. Additional pirate details have been added to Tom and Huck’s Treehouse and to the traditional Smuggler’s Cove, with its challenging rope and barrel bridges.
This Frontierland attraction opens on May 25 - coinciding with the summer opening of Walt Disney Pictures’ “Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End.”
