Sub Lagoon has water again!!! Well, its not full, but theres water in there again...
Hehe, I give it three days before it gets drained again.
are you sure a deluge didn't happen last night located over the lagoon
maybe they are testing the changes to the pipes.. a little at a time.
or seeing how long it takes for most sites to report it.. then take it away again.
Very cool! I can't wait to ride it.

I'd just love to see the lagoon again! I really hope they're not gonna make us wait until June 11th before they take down those obnoxious walls.
I'm literally a born Disney fan! I was born at Providence St. Joseph Med Center right across the street from Disney Studios in Burbank. The same hospital where Walt died.

Glad to see you have an interest! I started researching the Subs and continued through all the Yesterland attractions! Disneyland history is soooo cool!
It was closed due to the costs and the damage to the lagoon. The structure of the caves had become weak and dangerous, the guide rails had broken free, and a bunch of things needed to be fixed. They didn't want to pay much for expensive stuff at the time so they just decided to close the ride. They covered it up with a lie that it was unpopular. In WDW, their submarine ride was actually closed because of a trick the CM's who wanted the ride to close played on the excecutives who checked the ride. They picked a sub in the worse mechanical condidion, dumped a bit of water to look like it was leaking, and then recruited the worst driver to drive the subs!
Over back at Disneyland Park as it was, the subs were not supposed to be replaced until there was a replacement. But Pressler lied and closed the subs in hopes they could become an Atlantis ride. The movie failed, and then came DCA. With all the expenses going into the soon to be failure, adding attractions at Disneyland was lost for a while, until now!

Awesome glad to see the progress of that ride cant weait for a cahnce to go on it. The last time i went on it was when I was 5 and that was in 1992.
Unless things have changed, this is suppose to be the final fill.
Right on. I agree with that one...
i think it's amazing that we are in the "home strech" of the subs re opening after wating almost 9 years... crazy
