TR KC Edition: 3/3-3/5 Muppets, Characters and rides oh my

Hey there!
Just got back from Disneyland and you know what that means right?
Another Trip Report from KuzcoChik (which I promise will actually make it all the way through for once ^_~)
Let's start with Saturday shall we?

Saturday 3/3/07:

The day started early at 3:30am when my friend Danielle, her husband Jonathan and I all piled into the car and took off California bound.
We made it to Dland by about 8:30am and headed straight for the parks.

Danielle and I waiting on the tram

The line to get into the park was relatively short but making our way down Main Street and seeing the tiny girls in tiny skirts frightened me. We soon realized there was a cheerleader invasion taking place in DL... t'was quite scary.
We hit up Rockin Space Mountain first since I was the only one who had written it.
Now I know I'll get smacked for this, or kicked off of MiceChat or something, but I like Rockin' Space!!!! *dodges fireballs *
All kidding aside, I do really like the ride. I think I try to pretend like it's not the real for real Space and I enjoy it as a seperate ride. Plus I can't help clapping along to "Higher Ground" which also gets stuck in me head.

So, we decided to hit up Small World cause the Matterhorn was too busy

Waiting for Small World

Flowers, Purdy Flowers!

Hippo with crazy glowing eyes!!!

I really like this pic ^_^

T'was on to Toon Town a place I seldom venture to except for Roger Rabbit and the Gag Factory.

OH MY GAWD IT'S DIP!!!!

Goin' for a spin

There he is!

Messin' around in the gag factory. Not sure why I'm so upset by that hat

Dani and Jonathan got caught by the Disney fuzz for... yeah I got nothing

Probably the most creative I've seen someone be with that bar bell. Hurray for Jonathan

Re-creating the crazy drive to CA

Me, Relaxin' in Minnie's house. Her furniture is quite uncomfortable!

Roger's Mail Box

Yeah, I.... I'm not really sure either!

Cause even Mickey needs more cowbell

It was back to Space for our Fastpasses.
As we stood in line, we noticed them holding up a few cars in order to look for something. Suddenly the lights turned on and the music stopped

We're pretty sure they took too long and there was a vehical back up so there was an e-stop. They got the ride back up very quickly and everyone boo-ed at the guy who had had the castmembers looking for his glasses.
People are dumb

So it was back over to DCA to hit up Tower and the like
And who do we see?
Well Ms. Poppins herself. She told me that if I must galavant with pirates that I should be careful and I promised her I would

I don't know when they moved her over to the backlot but it made me very happy. Plus there was pretty much no line.

So we were trying to re-create that caution sign that tells you to keep your hands and arms inside the vehical with the adult and child flailing wildly... someone else on this board has to know what I'm talking about

Over to Monsters.... I can only ever get this one pic of Sulley cause there's so much light in that scene it doesn't blur

Muppet's Mobile Lab came out and I barely got to see it. It is so cool though (more on this a bit later)

Jonathan was not amused by Francis

Requisite Bug Shot

Got myself a Four Leaf Clover!!!

My drawing of Pooh from the Animation Academy... he's a bit lop-sided

I don't even like Aurora that much, but I really liked this concept art

Muppet Labs was back at so I watched them for a while.
Probably one of the coolest things I've seen at a Disney park in a long time (though I never actually saw Lucky)

But Beaker really didn't like this guy

And i loved the bumper stickers

Danielle's face got attacked by cotton candy

So... here's my bone to pick. Who else here can look at this pic and tell me exactly which person in controlling PUSH? When I worked at WDW we had our own version of PUSH called PIPA... Unless you really knew what was going on you could hardly ever find the guys controlling them. Everytime I've seen PUSH at DCA, the dude has been right there on top of the trash can... How obvious spot the dude that looks like a unibomber with his hand in a bag while he talks to himself!! Sorry! *rant off*

Back over to the increasingly crowded DL
For the Bootstrappers

Oh how I'd love to be these guys (*shameless plug* Go vote my pirate Disney Dream Job video.. Links in my sig *shameless plug off*)

Later that night

Not sure why I look so upset... I think I was just hoping the camera was working

We hit up all the darkrides...

Crazy fast spinning carrousel of doom!!!

I got to see all the Alice changes! Very awesome!
We took on last spin on Buzz and Star Tours

I'll leave you all with 3PO for now

Shall update sometime tomorrow with day two.
Later Dayz!

the guy that is controlling push is the guy to your right of the guy in the white bruce almighty shirt. he is wearing all black, has a big bag, and holds his hand to his mouth.

Ya I think she knows this. Her point is he's very obvious

While the guy's been easy to find if you're looking for him, I think the people who have never seen it before and aren't looking for him don't see him at all for the most part and it lets him get away with a lot more personalization by picking up things people are wearing or hearing them talk to each other and such.

Is PIPA that talking palm tree at AK? I gotta admit I thought that thing was kinda dumb I dig the talking trash can in Tomorrowland(WDW's included) but a talking palm tree was just silly :P I feel similar about Push being in the Redwood Creek area, but at least it's not a talking potted plant

Yeah I did, jsut wondering if I was the only one :P
PIPA is the recycle bin (cousin to PUSH ) over at Rafiki's Planet Watch/Conservation Station. Not the palm tree. It's basically the same idea as Push but decorated differently.

Anyway, I'm waiting to get a few more pics back before I update with the rest, so thanks for the comments and being patient guys

Re: TR KC Edition: 3/3-3/5 Muppets, Characters and rides oh my

Day 2: Part 1

Yeah so I totally planned on doing just 3 updates... one a day
But there are so many pictures.
Seriously, at one point we had 4 camera with us so there are like 600 pics!

But any who, day 2 started early-ish and was spent mostly at DCA. I met up w/ my friends Julie and Scott (who had Two-fers so it was only DCA for us)

Julie was excited to see me! and to be first in line

Scott couldn't believe i was there

We headed straight over to Soarin cause it was the first thing open

Waiting in line

Then on to Screamin

Julie's hair looked cool after front row wind action

Pictures of pictures!

Scott was way excited about Imagineering

Mater and Lightning were out... probably my least favorite meet and greet ever. Since there's no line, there's always like 30 kids in any picture you take.

We were going to take pictures in front of all of these signs, but we didn't. Scott just decided to take this one flattering pic of us

Then, the worst news of the day:

They cancelled the Pep Rally!!!! I screamed out in dispair, people stared

Apparently The Beast's Library yeilded bizarre results (re:my face)

I was Cinder-elly

Over to Ariel's Grotto for lunch (meeting back up w/ Dani and Jonathan)

Julie loves her camera

Pretty lamp

A very cute Ariel. She was quite good

Not the best Belle

Snow White was the best of them all. Her voice was a bit annoying but she was very sweet and in character. She asked me if I was a pirate (re:my bandana) and i told her 'no' I was just a fan of them. She then asked me if I'd seen Capt. Jack and said that when I did see him I needed to invite him to tea. She also told me to ask him what happened to the silverware from the last time he came to tea. This is us with pirate faces ^_^

Aurora

A very short Cinder-elly

My salad was so big it tried to eat my face

This was the last roll left and we made him into a person. He was soon refered to as my boyfriend b/c I was the only one not in a couple (what can i say, boys suck :P)

Me and the boy. He was taken from me too soon

After dinner we weighed about 7 1/2 tons. And we decided to just keep swimming!

That's it for now. More DCA soon including Block Party Bash and then some DL for fireworks!

Re: TR KC Edition: 3/3-3/5 Muppets, Characters and rides oh my

Day Two: Part 2

All right, here is the second part of Sunday.

We played around a bit in front of the falls by Grizzly

We're friends, I swear

See..

The three dorkelleros as we've taken to calling ourselves

I was being squished... hence the face.

So we headed over to the backlot to use our Tower Fast Passes
(actually I'm pretty sure we passed all the micechatters waiting for Bunsen and Beaker.. but we were in a hurry and didn't stop. Sorry guys. One day, i swear I'll go to a meet!)

The scary wall that talks because the little girl is trapped behind the wall... it really creeps me out

Just a creepy shot... with safety instructions in the background

Julie was under pressure!!

Zoolander face

Chillin' b4 Muppet Vision. i kept getting strange looks cause i can quote the preshow (with inflections and all). i <3 MV3D

Afterwards we headed to the second parade stop to watch Block Party Bash
I seriously hadn't seen that parade since the week of the 50th (July 17)

Julie's Camera has good zoom!

Scott waiting

Julie waiting

Me waiting, but without the pretty Sun wheel in the bg

The Sun Wheel (can you tell we were bored waiting)

The Pier as it was getting dark

they're all so darn peppy!!!

Bo Peep

Monsters!!

I Love that George has the sock on his back

Princess Atta Action!!! (I love this shot so much)

We ended up getting up and dancing at one point. There's a black mail video floating around somewhere that'll probably be online soon

Heimlick's so cool!

After the parade we took the long way around Grizzly.

this was suppose to look like I was trying to fill up my water bottle in the falls.... we're weird

Grizzly...GRRRRR!! apparently mine is attacking me

Falls

More Falls

More random shots... arm-length goodness

It was almost time for Julie and Scott to leave so we headed back toward Tower where I was suppose to meet Dani and Jonathan.

The big metal sun of death

Me and Julie

Ta-dah!!

Strangled!! This is when we learned that we look like ghosts when we moved

So here are the ghosts of Sunshine Plaza

And Tower Of Terror Ghosts

Julie's looks better than mine cause she had more lights

And then my hair got set on fire

So Julie and Scott took off and Dani, Jonathan and I ate dinner then begger our way onto Tower (we only had 2 fast passes between the 3 of us) the bell hop made us sing a song to get in

Jazz hands!

We scare b/c we care

You guys need any snacks before we hit the road?

Roz hit on Jonathan... it was hilarious

Yeah so I think I was worried the pic wouldn't come out... otherwise this'd be cute

I love this fountain

Dani and Jonathan

the I girls!

Back over at Disneyland the park had cleared out a bit so we headed to Pirates

Pirate faces

Later:

Danielle was upset the fireworks hadn't started

Wishes!

Dream a Dream

Wishes.. set it free

Not my best fireworks pictures but they'll do

After the fireworks and the mad rush of people for the exit
We headed over to Buzz to find a very short line

he was totally staring at me, it was kinda scary

Then it was over to Frontierland
But not before some gratuitious castle shots

I am such an awesome photographer :P

The girls

Castle at night

Aurora and Phillip Dancing away

I like how the Matterhorn looks in this picture

A single dark lonely weird dream swan

Mansion time

I love the horse sounds that come from this

Critter Country was totally dead.
the wait time for Pooh was 2 minutes (aka a walk on) and we joked with the guys working about waiting so long!

I'll save you Piglet

And then somehow it was Pooh's Birthday?

Splash looked really cool even if it wasn't running. I'm glad they left the lights on... like Motel 6... curse you Tom Bodett (Good Idea/Bad Idea)... I'm done now

I love the court of Angels

So we made it to Adventureland and had a great Jungle Cruise Skipper
Then we headed to this old Temple and some doofus looked into the eyes of this guy

And through our entire journey off track.
Luckily we made it out okkay but decided we had had far too much excitement and it was time for sleep.

Coming soon: Day 3 featuring Jedi's, Aladdin, the hunt for a Sparrow, and the parade of dreams.

Later
