    I have a request, if I could.

I've only been to Disneyland once and I feel in love with Alice's Dark Ride. My visual memory, if you could provide a wallpaper version of it on your next trip, would be of Alice's Dark Ride, one of the ride and one photo with the Matterhorn in the background.

Hope you don't mind my request. ;o)

Get really good in Adobe Photoshop. I freely admit that I'm not nearly as good with the camera as I am in Photoshop.

I was going to try just that on that trip that these photos came from, but it was SO dang busy. I have an aversion to taking (and publishing) pictures with people in them (unless I'm demonstrating the crowd level). I'll certainly keep it in mind.

Inside the ride is quite dark and the vehicle is pretty fast, so interior shots would be just about impossible, but if the line isn't long sometime, I'll "give it a go". Maybe some night after closing, I'll try a shot, too.

    Dear DaddyB....where-ever you are.....

Thank you sooooooooo much! My family and I had planned a trip to the resort today but circumstances beyond my control prevented that. Still, you're report and wonderful pictures helped ease my Disney-withdrawels.
    Thanks again!

Absolutely stunning! Your photos are unreal, and easily the photos I am most excited to see. Well done, as usual.

I took the first year or so of photo updates on a decent point-and-shoot. I only got the DSLR for the low light capabilities and the 'shutter lag' (the time between you pressing the shutter to take the picture and the point when the camera actually takes the picture). Modern point-and-shoots pretty much overcome this, so don't feel like you 'must' get a dslr. A really good point and shoot will still be less than a rebel XTi and lens and will have excellent night capabilities (most likely better than the rebel XT!) and extremely reduced shutter lag.

Just look for a point-and-shoot that has the capability to mount a flash. I'm surprised how often that isn't an option on higher end P&S cameras.

I was going to go today myself, but I literally finished the update tweaking at 4:15am... that's right A.M.

So after 2 hours sleep, I got up again to take the kids to school and went back and crashed... got really lousy sleep because it was too bright in the bedroom.

Maybe I'll make it there Thursday.

yea, but focusing with a P&S is a pain sometimes, i prefer having more control then using the built in light meeter and making it come out at the right speeds for standstill, and then a little slower for motion. not to mention the fact D-SLRs are great, even thought they become out of date faster than the P&S counterparts.

but still, even people with D-SLRs are more likely to keep a P&S around just in case...
