I heard that it will most likely be open a month before the offical opening (this info comes second hand from a coaster tech working in the park)

My friend came over a couple minutes ago with her new Space Mountain uniform. She said that it will be July for the first soft opening. They are now in training for the new SM! She's usually right about these things.

Vin Diesel did the honors for the official opening of DLP's Space Mountain 2.
    IS NOTHING SACRED ANYMORE?

If Vin Diesel ever dedicates anything at Disneyland I might just have to leave and go to Knotts Berry Farm! He is horrible and I dont ever want him associated with anything Disney (the Pacifier was bad enough), let alone Disneyland!

Going on July 23rd to DL...I'm so excited!! A week after SM opens and only six days after the 50th anniversary! Awesome...but, I'm telling you guys: Space will NOT be soft opening anytime in the next two weeks. Step a little back into reality here! Listen to the CM members, July 4th weekend and that is IT. Not June 10th, not June 15th, not June 20th, not June 25th and not June 30th...not in June. Maybe CM previews, but defintely not soft openings...

They usually tack on the patriotic show to the end, so its seperate and usually fairly short. I have seen the same show on several 4th of July's and a memorial day, so I have a feeling it will be the same show.

Here's a quick little blurb from Al's previous update:

the most I've heard is that the previews/softs will be VERY close to the 15th of July or may not happen at all. Apparently, the ride cleared DOSH and CalOSHA this past weekend, but more tweaking is being done by Scientific Systems. When I come in for a morning shift, I can hear the rockets from outside the mountain playing their BASS-Y sound track. It sounds mighty good!

Not to be rude to the person who said that they saw soft openings start, but can anybody confirm that this indeed happened? Any CM's?

I'm sure you can find a CM to PM on this board.
